You need to modify your thread title, Perry isn't calling out anyone and Texas DPS cannot secure the border. I live here. Perry CAN secure it if he really wanted too but it would take more than the Texas DPS. You really do not understand........

We hear nearly every day about Texas citizens being abused by the police. It seems to me that Texans are all talk. Otherwise, why would you be living in a police state as bad as everywhere else?

They only target certain people, and it's not nearly as bad as everywhere else. Why tip our hand for a few incidents when thats what they want us to do? We focus on the big picture.

Any mass shootings taking place here, besides ft. Hood where nobody is armed? Nope. Well, someone tried it at bush intl airport. I think he got one or two rounds off.

We're a bit quicker on the draw around here, and everyone is armed to the teeth. If any real threat from cartels or terrorists or fed army surfaces, you'll see real quick what the truth really is. Texas would be a burning hellhole for any attacking force.

The gov is essentially staging these bullshit false flags the same way a bully picks his targets......only small ones that are guaranteed wins. Bully's leave big boys and scary little dudes alone cause theyll definetly get hurt and laughed at when thier ass is bleeding in the dirt.

I live here too, and it would take more than DPS, I agree with you there. National guard, or citizen support. Worth noting that the federal government took all Apache helicopters from the Army National Guard not long ago. Only a few days before that, I had six fly over my house in formation, which never happens here (show of strength by the NG?). I do understand, and like I mentioned before, I don't trust Perry much, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend for the time being.

Perry is freeing up state funding for 2000 more deputies to put them along the border. He can only do what we can afford to do as a state, and we've been beating this invasion back for a long time, only to have the illegals caught turned right back into the streets by ICE.

Perry is a real Texan. For all he doesn't know about national and international issues, he is a real Texan. Ranching family. And whatever else he may or may not be, he has been a good governor. And he is pissed off about this issue.
