Left behind movie scared me as a child

When I was about ten I saw bits and pieces of the movie left behind when my parents watched it. The movie really scared me as a child I would be afraid that in the morning my parents would be gone. I never told anyone this fear. I was afraid that I would be left behind. Did anyone else have the same feeling? My questions for Christians is this: do you think that the movie Left Behind can do more harm than good? I think that some Christian film is good but sometimes I think the best thing is to read the bible and not learn about revelations through a movie. Is it possible that what I experienced as a child was spiritual warfare? I always believed in God and Jesus but it wasn't until I was 22 really started following God.
