The Dr. User ID: 36511501 United States 10/11/2014 01:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So I was looking at my progressive auto insurance policy and on page 18 it states: Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50970607 3. Loss due to or as consequence of: A. Radioactive contamination B. Discharge of any nuclear weapon (even if accidental) C. War (declared or undeclared) D. Civil war E. Insurrection; or F. Rebellion or revolution I thought this was NUTS when I read it... Do they know something we don't know???? Please check out your policies and post what you find Those are standard disclaimers/coverage exemptions. Since they can not predict the possibility of those things they are not covered. On household insurance usually earthquakes coverage is not standard, but sometimes if you pay extra you can add it. Insurance like casino's play the odds, it it is not in the house's( insurance companies) favor, they don't cover it. “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” ~ Benjamin Franklin |

Homeowners, auto, general liability...every insurance policy I have ever had for decades has always had disclaimers on these things. Nothing new. Nothing conspiratorial. Just insurance companies covering their bases like they always do. |
