Quoting: Mister Obvious Proof that whatever we desire (as he did subconsciously to experience the paranormal), we may have if we put enough energy and attention toward the cause. What I enjoyed about this is this is a man who almost scorned others with experiences they cannot explain. Most people do not invite paranormal experience into their lives - I mean who wants to live with things that make no logical sense, that you are almost afraid to share because skeptics are gonna skeptic. Now - can you imagine - his whole personal internal platform has been knocked out from beneath him. Nobody really believes these things until they experience them personally. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 61015562 United States 11/08/2014 09:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Skeptics will know with 100% certainty that they're wrong after death, or more accurately transitioning. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52581469 This powerful man in the skeptic community - has had "an unexplained event" - what in the world is he going to talk about now - will he debunk himself? I didn't really think much about out of body experiences until I had one during a near death experience. The shrink at the VA - called it a "depersonalization event" lol, what ever. It was very fascinating to watch special forces secure my location from above like a sudden human drone eye in the sky. I even felt the breeze on my cheek up there. Opened my fucking eyes for sure! |

Children that tell you things that cannot possibility be explained in any rational way - sort of like the radio playing in the drawer. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 50585702 United States 11/08/2014 11:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | that's a nice sweet story. my 2 cents. Leave that supernatural ghost shit alone. Period. When i was a young guy i really wanted to see a ghost , or a UFO, or bigfoot, or some kind of shit. Well, I ran into an angry evil ghost over 15 years ago, and it still creeps me the fuck out just thinking about it. Dont go looking for that shit, and when you run into it, leave it alone. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 64335222 Finland 11/09/2014 07:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | personally i think that 99% of skeptics are secret believers in whatever subject there mocking or trying to disprove, i had a friend that would go on and on about how UFO's don't exist, really belittling everything you say. then when the subject was brought up at a birthday gathering and all but him admitted to seeing something strange in the sky, the look on his face changed from an 'i am all knowledgeable' to a look of 'why haven't i seen anything'. he now admits to believing in UFO's, but other folks who believe in UFO's are still sick or ill. most skeptics will be sociopaths or narcissists so only there viewpoint counts, but when they feel the sway of others around them the skeptic point of view will change. also i find it funny how skeptics only refer to crazy folks accounts as proof that its all a sham and then when faced with real evidence they shut down and dont want to listen, again until many of there peers change opinion then there opinion will change also. if only they spent an equal amount of time weighing up the pro's and con's for the subject at hand then they would see in many cases that 'there is no smoke without fire' |
Inerrancia User ID: 64926912 Spain 11/09/2014 09:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pfff... As we say in Spain "En casa del herrero, cuchillo de palo" (The blacksmith uses a Wood knive in his house, or som'thing) One paranormal experience is only that. The guy had his minute of "anomaly", his "epiphany", so what? It's the amount of paranormal experiences what let us to make casuistics, statistics and to search for patterns and reasonable or even "scientific" "explanations" or at least descriptions. Some things will be for now (or for ever) simply OUT of that kind of rational protocols for understanding "reality". ...and one thing is a sceptic, or a "skeptic"... or a shill, different animals with different intentions and motivations. Everything has some kind of agenda. |

The truth is this, not that the paranormal is real - but that we are not really sure what is real. |

Everything has some kind of agenda. Some of that agenda might be as simple as avoiding facing the fear that might come from not being in control of your environment - and not knowing everything. Some people are only comfortable if they believe they have it all figured out and thus press forward only believing their own programing. The truth is none of us really KNOWS - everything is pretty much either faith or theory. |
