HELP! My mother is under DEMONIC POSSESSION! I don't know what to do anymore! I cry all the time!

Please GLP I need your help! I don't know what to do or where to turn! I feel I am losing it myself! I cry everyday now! I don't know what to believe anymore!

I have written down every detail I can remember and the ones I related to the doctor who is treating my mother. I know it is long and there is much to read but you will see how deep this goes! I am sure it will raise the hairs on your neck!

Here is the problem I face------

Just 4 years ago my mother was institutionalized for having severe mental distress (she was later diagnosed as schizophrenic).

While inside, she found "god" through Buddhism and indeed she became a new person! Even the doctors were impressed with her incredible recovery and released her. We are not religious people and I am agnostic. But if she feels that she found "god" through Buddhism, then so be it! Whatever helps!

She has been completely normal for the past ~3 years. A new happy woman with a purpose in life! She even built a small garden with a Buddha as the centerpiece where she meditates and invites her friends to drink tea and talk. She was never happier and more at peace in her whole life!

Then she received a piece of literature from two Jehovah witness women and that is where it all began. Her mistake was inviting them inside her home to talk with her about religion. Each time they came they left a new piece of literature and each time it got worse. Finally they gave her a bible, a brand new one with a silver cover. After I found out I ended that immediately! The following week, when they returned, I told them never to return again. They were most insistent and said I did not have the right to decide for my mother if she wanted to study the bible or not and that I was blocking her spiritual progress. I told them if they returned again I would call the police. So far they have not returned although I am sure that they have driven by my mothers house to see if my car was there.

Here are the scary parts------- hair raising.......

The night I threw all of their literature in the trash (I took it to my trash at my house so she could not retrieve it) my mother called me on the phone at 3 AM. She starts saying something very strange, completely unintelligible as if it were another language but nothing that sounded real. Like a child making a fake language. So I get dressed as fast as I can and drive over there.

Once there I find her outside on the lawn digging holes in the lawn with her hands. She says "give me my book back! I need it now! my book!" Mind you, this is 3 AM in the morning!

Ok, I am freaked out beyond anything before! I bring her inside and try to calm her down, make tea etc. Eventually she falls asleep at 10 or so in the morning. I call her psychiatrist Dr. ********** and tell him the situation. He says it is normal for short relapses and as long as she is no danger to herself and others I should do nothing for now but comfort her. He says to make sure she takes her medicine (Aripiprazole) regularly and count the number of tablets that are there. He says, if it happens again then he can visit her and we'll go from there. Ok. I didn't mention the whole visit by the two Jehovah witness women or the literature. YET.

Because of what happened I decided to stay there in her house. I stayed a few nights, and everything returned to normal. She would get up early, make me breakfast, I went off to work, came back, everything looked clean and orderly. No problems. So I decide to go back to my place where my animals are waiting and where all of my stuff is.

The next day, I have yet to hear from her. She is supposed to call everyday or I call her. That was the arrangement. So I call. Nothing. I leave a message. Nothing. Call again. Nothing. So I drive over very worried because anyone who has had to deal with mental illness knows anything is possible!

I find the house totally dark, all windows closed, blinds and curtains drawn. I call out to her. No answer. I look everywhere for her. I hear wind howling through an open crack in the old floor and water dripping in the bathroom. I look in the bathroom and find the tub filled with water. But she is not there.

Finally, I find her. She is in the basement on the floor, SLEEPING on the ice cold concrete floor! In her hands she is clasping a bible ------- yes, THAT silver color bible those JW women gave her!

How can this be?! I took the trash with me to my house 40+ minutes by car in another town! So I'm running through my mind every possibility! She does not drive. She could not have walked. The trash was picked up the day before. Those women could not have stopped by because I put a giant "no trespassing" sign up and I was there the other day. How did she get this?! Did they give her two bibles?! No because I looked.

But more worrying is she will not wake up! I run upstairs to get the phone and call an ambulance. I begin to tell the operator my mother will not wake up and I need an ambulance. Just as I start to give her the details, my mother is there standing behind me, and asks "what is wrong?" I apologize to the operator. Holy shit!

Now I never get angry with my mother but this time I almost lose it. I scream at her asking where she got this bible from. She answers, "it was on the table in the living room!"

I run into the living room, completely shocked, in disbelief, that my mother would lie to me! On the table, are several other pieces of literature. A small book entitled "examining the scriptures daily" and a magazine "spirits of the dead, can they help you....?" which I then kept and gave it to the Dr. for him to examine. More on that later.

Ok, now I am pissed. REALLY PISSED!

But very calmly I ask her again, where did you get this?

She says, "they were there when I woke up!"

I still don't believe her but she has never lied to me. So now what? I don't believe they magically came through the window at night, nor do I believe that the two women came inside because the door was locked from the inside!

No, this is just someone mind f*cking with me. My mother is playing a joke. Others are in on this! Looking for the hidden camera. This is a joke!

But nobody else knows about this. So I ask her what exactly they gave her. She tells me the same pieces that I threw out. Then she starts saying something, mumbling, completely unintelligible ---- except for a few words here and there which sound like Hebrew or Arabic. I have no idea. But all I know is she does not speak Hebrew or Arabic or any other language besides English and a little Russian. But that is not Russian. That much I know!

I try to calm her down but tell her I will call Dr. ********** if she does not stop. After a few minutes, she calms down. Then she says very quietly and creepily, "Jehovah was here." Sorry, but THAT was NOT my mother's voice! The hairs on my neck and whole body stand up! WHAT THE HELL?!?! I feel a cold breeze pass by me as she reaches out with her hand into the open space as if she is holding onto someone leaving. Another cold breeze passes! Maybe I'm the mental one now!

Ok, NOW it is time to call the Dr. and put an end to this joke, this nightmare, this bullshit must end!!

I tell him everything. He of course does not believe in demonic possession (and neither did I....) and that everything is pure coincidence. But he does advise that I keep her away from the Jehovah witness because they have the highest rate of depression, CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) and other mental illness and that for someone like my mother, it will make it worse.

Currently, he is treating her at the clinic but she has not responded very well thus far. She sleeps most of the day and night due to the new medicine but awakes once and a while to say something in her own little language. Another doctor who works there confirmed to me that she is indeed speaking Hebrew but it is mixed ancient Hebrew with something else he does not know. Their explanation is that she learned it long ago and the medicine is recovering these memories. My rebuttal is she NEVER spoke Hebrew nor any other languages (except a little Russian) and there was never any Jewish family or anything that would have given her this ability.

A nurse who works there is convinced that she is under demonic possession. She told me in private that she has seen this before in her home of Jamaica and that no medicine will help. She told me to tell the Dr about this possibility but I have already mentioned it and he immediately dismissed it as “hokus pocus bullshit.”

So here I am, and lost as to what to do. It is really scary. I never believed in this kind of stuff and still have my reservations about this and tend to take the side of the doctors. It really is a mystery.

Anybody have any suggestions?
