I's a great idea so I'm going to purchase a camera that can get good photos at night. It's pretty cold still, around 30 at night so I go into the tent and see them when I relieve myself. I'm always looking up but the ones I have seen above the trees are fast moving. I'll do my best with the camera and report back with photos! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 67028909 United States 04/18/2015 03:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I spend every night camping out in Montanas incredibly desolate and primitive wilderness. Before I go to bed I kick back on a nice granite rock and just focus until the lights come. Some are just bright lights that move fast and dim out into outer space. Red orange circular light orbs flash and pulse 50 ft above the trees at night and I wave but they disappear. Last night I saw two lights that flashed brightly and cryptically from different spectrums of night sky as if communicating something. I was thrilled and my heart pounds every time they come. I don't know what's in them, but I have never ever seen these every single night! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68855711 Are you anywhere near the Flathead? |

Ive been camping 130 days or more for over 17 years. Ihave never been taken but I have seen all of Americas wildlife and prehistoric hikes. I'm so in love with this lifestyle nothing scares me, but attracts and intrigues me instead. The seemless limits of the outdoors have bolstered me into a courageous and adventuring person. I am connected to this earth, I am protected. |

I enjoy going out at night between 2~4am, and see many ??? flying around. One pretty regular sighting is what looks like a satellite (and I've seen plenty of them) but if you watch long enough these things change direction, as in 90 deg. instantly. Been watching them since 1995. |

There are plenty of those and I have seen them any time I cared to look since about the mid nineties. Sometimes they do move dramatically. |

If they are satellites, they must be using an enormous amount of energy to flash such bright lights at the Earth. |

I saw a plasma looking ball going all across my 180 degree view. It would get bright and gain speed, then slow as it dimmed then repeat. Also had a slight tail to it. I watched so long I got sleepy and retired. That was in Breckenridge,Co |
