Which is the problem with people arguing over religion. Everyone thinks they are right. If there was some benevolent being pervertedly watching everyone from a sky cloud he can see everything from, wouldn't they allow people to worship them in their own form? Perhaps in a way that different people of different cultures could appreciate equally? Not everyone is the same, and different people from different backgrounds will believe a different way. Logically, if I were omnipotent, I would realize this and allow different religions with "Insert Name Here" and have them all be me :P Most religions have similar basis. Mostly, they attempt to teach good moral values. Don't kill each other, don't fuck your neighbor's wife, so on and so forth.
