It's truly terrible something like this happened, but I hope those investigating remember that things happen. I'm afraid everyones knee-jerk reaction is going to be to throw the driver under the bus on this. It's likely just an accident.

I'm a bus driver and i dont know how this is even possible, to drive and not see you dragging someone....

I feel that what happened here to the girl is very wrong. That bus driver is evil, and what the bus driver did was criminal. I feel the bus driver did this on purpose.

The bus driver should not be allowed to do something like this again.

I hope the driver is never allowed to operate a bus again, how he didn't notice a the doors not being shut properly, or the fact that someone was trapped in them means he is not fit to do his job.

That is God for you... looking after children and drunks. It's a miss print though. It wasn't over 100 feet, it was over 1000 feet. They got about 100 feet on film. Judging by where the accident happened and counting the lots it looks like it was actually further too.

Well anyways , it looks someone just lost their job. The little girl although suffering, with severe road rash and PTSD for life, now will have college money waiting for her for when she graduate HS. Possible too, that mommy won't have to drive the school bus anymore to make a living too. I would kill the co worker that did that too my kid.

This is going to sound ugly and racist. I bet you anything , that the kids and in particularly the black children on that bus are so obnoxious and loud, that the buss driver has come to tune them out, and basically struggles to just pay attention to the road. Never mind all the noise and the silly commotion going on in the bus. It is probably really bad this time of year too with school getting ready to get out.

The school is going to have to employ bus aids so the bus driver can focus further on driving the bus and paying attention to what is going on around them. The bus is obviously so loud that the bus driver can't even hear a kid out side screaming her head off for the bus to stop.

Of course not punishing loud obnoxious students for their misbehavior is not going to help much like they are doing in a lot of major cities , like Oakland, California. Expect more bus accidents and incidents in schools in general.

Poor kid! But kids are resilient. As long as her parents don't traumatize her about it, she will be okay. Unfortunately, parents are generally stoopid and I fully expect they'll put the kid in therapy and ruin her for forever.... sigh....

As far as the bus driver goes.... THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DO T PROPERLY TRAIN DRIVERS! How many more school bus incidents will there be before somebody catches on???

Driving a bus takes more skill than just driving a car. You have to keep an eye on the traffic on all sides, you have to keep an eye on the kids INSIDE the bus, and you have to know where each child is OUTSIDE the bus, too! Bus drivers are not supposed to drive away until the SEE the child/children safely out of the way. They are supposed to make eye contact with each child before they leave as an unspoken signal with each kid that they are no longer in the bus driver's care, and that the bus is about to drive away. That is how the driver knows the kids won't turn back for forgetting something on the bus, or whatever....

This driver needs to be fired.

The bus driver can clearly see the whole view from inside and outside the door. It's right in front of their face.

I bet he's gonna use the "too many loud naglets" excuse in court and it just doesn't fit. The asshole driver just slams the door shut as soon as she hopped off the step when he should be making damn sure each kid is at least 20 feet from the bus before driving away.

I wish a judge could sentence the driver to having a noose tied to his neck and dragged 1/4 mile at 40 mph. The punishment should fit the crime.
