Anonymous Coward User ID: 70406608 Canada 09/25/2015 10:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Adding a few things up for conversation. The following has happened all in the last 24 hours. Quoting: Resister -Boehner abruptly resigns. Not retires at end of term, resigns. -Fed chief Yellen has what appears to be a minor stroke mid speech yesterday. -Hillary Clinton illness floated as reason for lack of public debate. Very ill looking picture plastered on Drudge. -First time in history a Pope addresses congress. UN speech very next day. Could the stress cracks before the explosion be showing now? This is all coming to a head, mighty quick, now. Could this be the result of the Shemitah? |

Least he has time to repent no good Catholic could be involved with a doctrine that hostile to the poor. All Republicans go to hell well known fact. Ask the Democratic demons. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48275928 Oh PUUULLLLEEEEEEASE. Cry me a river. The rich ARE above the poor. It is the natural order of things. Always has been, always will be. The rich make the existence of the poor possible! The rich pay all the taxes. The rich create all the jobs. You act as though "the poor" are some majestic group of wonderful beings who should be carried and pampered and worshiped. They aren't. Not many "rich" people create jobs. Most of them are idle layabouts squandering their trust-funds and inheritances, or "celebrities" being paid for being famous. It's middle-class entrepreneurs with an idea and space in their garages that ultimately create jobs. What you fail to understand is that the middle class entrepreneurs who create all the jobs ARE "the rich" that the envious-left refers to !!!!!!! You and I both know the middle class is not really "rich" but you and I also know that the envious-left thinks ANYONE who has enough money to start their own company is among "the rich" who must be shamed and abused into paying far more than "their fair share" without getting ANYTHING in return for the extra money they pay. yeah that makes sense. it's not like when the republicans were last in charge they gave tax cuts to the rich and tax increases to the middle class. |

He'll be sitting on his ass doing nothing until then while Planned Parenthood gets its funding, Iran gets it's nuke deal, and Obama continues to show more commitment to his twisted, leftist agenda than idiot RINOs like Boehner have for the conservative agenda. The relevant ID is in the picture; it's a known reflection nebula and T Tauri star, but it went viral as being "Nibiru" on youtube a few weeks back. Astro, are you posting from your luxury suite deep in Iron Mountain? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15292827 My Mom heard the Pope fired him,not sure how this is possible since the Pope has no authority here.Dig into this. Before the Popes speech in front of congress they said Boehner had a meeting with the pope. I also thought they said Boehner was liked by the pope and they even made some reference to Boehner being catholic. I doubt the Pope 'fired' him, but it is odd that it coincides with the Pope's visit. You'd think he'd wait until the Pope left, given how big a fan Boehner supposedly is, because he's taking headlines away from the Pope now. He probably was going to resign soon anyway - I'm pretty sure he had this in the works - but his exhibition of weeping behind the pope really sealed his doom. Even the MSM had to note it as it was so damned obvious the guy has no self control. Congress was interfering with his drinking. Either he'll drink FT now or go into Betty Ford or something. He just couldn't stay after that tear fest yesterday, too embarrassing for everyone. Guy's a mental case on top of being a drunk. I hate to say it but next one will probably be as bad w/o the tears. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70401178 United States 09/25/2015 10:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree. In fact, this announcement has utterly STUNNED me. Moreover, it WORRIES ME profoundly. Making it doubly worse in my view is that he's not merely resigning as Speaker of the House, he's quitting Congress altogether! ! ! I see this as a "rat fleeing a sinking ship." In my personal opinion, Boehner knows the end is nigh for the United States economy and wants to be gone when the SHTF. The United States federal budget runs from October 1 through September 30. That's our "fiscal year." A new budget must be approved by Congress prior to September 1 otherwise there is no legal authority for any agency of government to spend any money. What if Boehner has been told there will not be enough money AND the federal reserve will no longer monetize federal debt????? That means fifty percent of what the government presently SPENDS, will not be available for spending! ! ! ! Think about what a fifty percent cut in federal spending would have to include: Social Security, Disability, Medicare, Food Stamps/SNAP/WIC. Without these things, 46 million Americans on food stamps will riot; senior citizens will come out of the woodwork in protest (and hunger) . . . we'll see horrific social chaos. This Boehner resignation is a VERY bad omen. VERY, VERY bad! Meh, tell China we are leaving the Marianas in exchange for debt owed. Problem solved. Doom off. |

This is unheard of- they've got serious goods on Boehner. Wonder if he has a cushy consulting/lobbying job lined up? Quoting: snark ^this^ He is not retiring, he is abruptly resigning. Big difference. I don't think this is just to save face and avoid the disgrace of possibly loosing his speakership. If it were that, he could simply announce retirement and go quietly into the night. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |
