calling for anywhere from 6-12 inches, mostly Saturday and Sunday, too early to tell exactly but could be 'heavy' to 'very bad' LOL

Wow you guys are in for a BAD rainstorm. This will be the worst in SC since Hurricane Hugo. I don't know which would be worse, the mountain valleys or down in the Low Country, the swampy part of South Carolina.

This is only ONE DAY.

I'm in lower Richland county, and it's not bad at all. Nothing like they were talking about, but the week-end is just getting started.

Yeah the soaked ground and wind will topple lots of trees, which will bring down the power lines.

If you are in hilly to mountainous regions of NC or SC or V then beware of huge landslide risks there that can completely carry your house and life away.

Re: Glp Official Flood Thread.
Charleston here...wasn't terrible today as opposed to yesterday. Downtown is prone to flooding, so I imagine there are quite a few kayaks bar-hopping this evening. The weight of all this water...I am worried for once, since we have a very linear lake/dam system running diagonally across the state.

I am happy I am near the coast versus rivers/lakes. That might be different if I was on a ground floor, but this is not going to be easy to control this ridiculous amount of water.

Please say prayers for everyone in the path of what's to come. hf
