As Americans beg to know what kind of agro-chemicals and GMOs are in their food, the Russian government is taking historic measures to eliminate the production of genetically modified food altogether. Manipulating nature at the genetic level and turning it into property and profit is how the biotech industry does business Learn more: [link to www.naturalnews.com] Ok. If they keep this up, I might have to consider a home in Moscow. Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 51085799 Moldova 10/17/2015 02:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No GMO stuff here either. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51085799 One of the reasons I moved to Moldova. Food is all natural, no preservatives allowed. Sandwich meat tastes like meat instead of a mouth full of fucking salt. Sorry? You moved to the poorest, most corrupt, least free, routine torturing country in Europe? Voluntarily? From where? Somalia? Obviously you have not been here. What you read on the internet and reality are two entirely different things. Nice people, great food, best wine in the world and loads of beautiful women. SAFE - I can walk alone any time of the night or day in a city of 800,000 with zero fear for my personal safety. "Routine torturing"...?? Where the fuck did you get that, the government stays out of your life and I have never heard one word about anyone being "tortured" in the almost 10 years I have been here. I am from the U.S. by the way. Moldova is like America in the 1950's. It is a poor country but the definition of "poor" is like statistics you can make of it what you want. Will you compare Moldova to Russia ...anywhere outside moskov or Saint petersburg ? I would not.... I have been to Russia many times, including both St Pete and "Moskva" (They call it "Moskva", why the rest of the world calls it Moscow is beyond me) The problem with Russia is that the "management" prefers to spend all its resources on military bullshit and as a result the infrastructure is total crap, and the roads outside of the main cities and little more than cowpaths with traffic regularly mired down to the axles in mud, many villages still no electricity. Considering the size of St Pete and Moskva, they are also in a shambles for the most part unless you are in the Red Square area. Moldova on the other hand, and being only the size of the state of Maryland the main city Chisinau has everything you could possibly want, sidewalk cafes that put Paris to shame, incredible food and wine at bargain basement prices, safe, and the country of Moldova is ranked in the top 5 in the world for internet access. I am currently literally in the middle of nowhere on a hillside between 3 small villages the closest of which is about 2km away and I have 4G internet with a wireless router total cost about $100 a year. I see crews working on the roads every day I am out, and in Chisinau you will see more high dollar cars than you can ever imagine, including Rolls Royce, Bentley, and even a few "Supercars". I could go on for page after page, but bottom line is unless you want to live in a tropical climate and die from some Godawful tropical disease I cannot think of a better place to live. |

Just think about how much food Russia consumes. It is a gigantic country! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38524839 MonSatanO, along with other major Biotech creeps are US companies. They are heavily invested in by all of our "leadership" and the Deputy Commissioner (Czar) of the FDA is Michael Taylor. He is a former VP of Public Policy for Monsanto. You think if Russia stops the purchase of GMO seed and the like, that the stockholders won't feel that hit??? [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] The level of corruption we are facing is dumbfounding. Its sickening to think how deep the evil goes. Though a 'gigantic' country (actually, the biggest one..), its population is only 146 millions. So I don't think they did it to 'hurt you', the 'Monsanto patriots' |

I could go on for page after page, but bottom line is unless you want to live in a tropical climate and die from some Godawful tropical disease I cannot think of a better place to live. So, Moldova... Duly noted. What are the real estate prices? Depends on what you want and where. In the capital city of Chisinau you can buy multi-million $$ apartments. They are building apartments like there is no tomorrow, I keep thinking they will overbuild but they just keep selling them. Funny thing is rents are so low compared to buying that it is almost silly to buy. They still build houses here with an apparent genetic memory of how to build castles. Out in the villages is dirt cheap, but with the exception that you have high speed internet access in the most remote areas it can be like living in the 17th century. I arranged for about 4.5 acres of land on which I am building my home, was about $1500. They do have some pretty strict regulations about farmland and who can own it. One problem is that Moldova has no legal means to come live here full time as a retiree as I am. I get an annual resident visa, due to owning a small company. I am working with a friend in government to try and get a change in the law to provide for retirees who would bring a lot of benefit to the economy and medical facilities, but it is a long drawn out process. I will say that the medical services available here are second to none. I had gall bladder surgery at a new private hospital, latest equipment, showed to my private room by a concierge, the whole thing, blood tests, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, laproscopic surgery, and 3 nights in the hospital was a grand total of 1000 Euro. My medicare deductible on the same treatment in the states would have surely been a multiple of that. |

That TTIP crap allows American corporations to sell their GMO weapons of mass destruction and other poisons in the E.U and there is nothing the government can do about it!! Da fuck?!!!! The only time I ate something that came from the U.S was 6 months ago, some peanut butter. I ended up with a MRSA infection that almost killed me, still have it to this day and the only thing that is killing the damn bacteria is Liposomal Vitamin C by the buck-loads and one Garlic Head per day. No antibiotic, essential oils or anything else did a thing. I had to be completely crazy to allow Merican poison in the shelves of our supermarkets. Seems Russia these days is about the only country that is protecting it's citizens from this demented fucked up world. |
