We just toss them when they come into work by mail and clutter up the place Dont put an ad -there are a dozen DIFFERENT yellow pages for every area -and the reps will tell you theirs is the best. online the only one now |

Yes I still use a local phone book and can look up local phone numbers faster than you can type on your keyboard or pad. Why should I pay some internet or Verizon supplier a fee to do something as simple as looking up a phone number for free. Why would I want a device that the government could track every move that I make and record everything that I say or type. They even make you pay for that privilege of spying upon you... |

rekinom8 User ID: 37779411 Germany 11/30/2015 10:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yellow pages list all you need to know. The internet.. not every(store) has a webpage, difficult to locate a local store, and even more difficult to understand what the heck they actually do. I tried, yellow pages were much easier. Then can try the internet to check them out. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 52154903 United States 12/01/2015 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I do. Used it today in fact. They don't automatically distribute the "White Pages" phone book in my city anymore, only the "Yellow Pages", but I always request and obtain the hard copy White Pages with the home phone numbers that are still listed. Unfortunately more and more people are dropping their landlines and the phone book is becoming thinner and thinner each year. It has dropped in pages by about 2/3 just since 2005 I was noticing today (I have saved the old White Pages from prior years). It actually makes it hard now to get find a person's phone number when you want to call them if all they have is a cell phone or an IP phone since neither of those is listed in the Phone Book. ... Frustrating. I personally moved my home phone to Magic Jack but kept my 25 year old number, because Magic Jack costs about 5% of what my former regular phone cost, but I did have to give up being listed in the phone book when I did that. I would actually PAY a small fee to be listed again in fact if that was an option, though I doubt most people would. |
