Quoting: Nameless 29922071 Someone on another forum told me that this year is a jubilee year. Something about forgiving debts and giving back to citizens. That it is mandatory. He said it is supposed to happen every 40 years, I think. But I'm not sure...I'm researching it. ? Its the seventh cycle of the seven year Schmitah What does this mean for us neophytes? In Jewish culture, every seven years you let the fields lay fallow. You only eat what grows by accident. You also forgive all debts. Then there is a cycle of every seven year cycles, ie, 49 years is a jubilee Schmitah. I think I have it right. So we are on the BIG Jubilee! I wonder if this gives any added benefits. I'll go take a look. Thanks! They'll control your whole life and if you don't comply there'll be no payment. Mandatory Vaccinations, where you can spend it and on what, telling you what doctor you can see, where your children will go to school, what they can teach your children and on top of that, it'll be user pays system and you'll end up owing at the end of it because there will be no way $600 a week will cover that. Just ask someone earning that pittance now how far it goes. For anyone who values freedom, this is a bad idea. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 58276109 I personally don't think it will work out in the long run since the resources will get dried up. Also, free money means free vacation. There is a risk that young people (18-26) will use their money to travel around the world and spend it all on drugs/alcohol, etc etc. Which would mean that the country giving their citizens money would not gain ANYTHING, not even workforce. this would be actually a good thing. the younger they start to destroy themself with drugs and alcohol the earlier they die. which means more space and less people on this planet. love it! |

Quoting: Copperhead The people who thought this up don't know human nature. To get out of bed and be creative each day you need to be inspired. Inspiration does not come from a welfare check. I am experiencing it now because I was made redundant and I am on welfare. So I am not pouring rubbish on people who accept welfare. I am doing 12-15 applications a month, for 13 months, and have not had a single interview. I have 39 years of full-time work experience. I am lucky I have driving passions and have "been down the rabbit hole" so to speak for many years. This makes me want to get out of bed and forge a life. Many, but not all, of people receiving a "citizen's payment" will slow their life down to a standstill and become welfare-dependent. Not a happy state of affairs. ___________________ Formerly Ma Pantha |
