People who don't smoke weed, but think it should be legalized

what about people who don't smoke weed, but dont' care if it's legalized or not??? are there any of them?

Are there people that have common sense, you mean? Yes. Yes there are.

Plants reproduce. They want to propagate themselves the same as humans. It's their genetic imperative. Humans have very little chance of ceasing to grow and consume it. Marijuana use dates back over 5,000 years. That's 5,000.

Why keep throwing money at the issue? It's absurd.

The war on drugs has had a plethora of effects on the populace.

It has expanded privatized prisons, generated copious revenue for the pharmaceutical industry, been utilized as provocation for the expansion of police forces, consolidated the power of centralized government, separated families, and jailed numerous individuals for non-violent crimes.

This pointless war has done nothing but transfer the burden of funding such an undertaking to the taxpayer. A burden, mind you, that the majority of Americans do not want to pay for.

Only a fool would choose to continue this pointless war.

Only a fool would choose to consume questionable chemicals for a dumb, brief high. Or to make excuses for such people.

OP...not only am I a non user that thinks it should be legalized, but get this. I'm ALSO MORMON. And my hysterical Mormon friends and family are soooooo poorly educated about pot that it's embarrassing.

But yes...I'm all about the LEGALIZATION of the substance. I think it IS harmful and I will not use it because I don't need it, and it goes against my religion. But yes, people SHOULD have the right to choose for themselves what they want.

It seems perfectly logical to me for these viewpoints to exist in one person.

I don't smoke pot and want it completely deregulated. No restrictions, except maybe age, and no taxes. Just get the govt out of it.

They made it legal in some states for medical reasons.

Next everyone has glaucoma etc so they can get there weed.

Yes, I don't smoke weed. But, I think like alcohol it needs to be regulated to mild forms and to people over 21 years old. Strong weeds should be for medical use only.

Never even tried it, but think it should be legalized for numerous reasons, most of which people already have pointed out.

Haven't touched since I was a kid, but all for legalizing it; I might want to take it up now. Besides, it's economically good for the country and bad for the drug cartel finances, plus it decreases crime, prison population and many associated costs.
While we're talking about all this, growing industrial hemp also needs to be allowed nationwide. It's an economic opportunity that US farmers are missing out on. Instead, we import the fiber from other countries.
