Wednesday nights march was not supervised by the police and thus the animal thugs went crazy. Supposedly the police did not know about it.

Last night's march was police supervised and more peaceful.

I warned my family to stay out of the city. We don't live in Orleans Parish and never will.

Because it was "cool" to be in that crowd. Ignorant of Jackson being what won that city its freedom from foreign invaders during the Battle of New Orleans. Lived there for decades. Helped to rebuild after Katrina. Talked to these types on the streets, They litter the sidewalks of the French Quarter asking for spare change*, and use their ebt to buy food at the over priced co-op foods and whole foods. There has been an influx of them since Katrina along with the opposite end of the spectrum they are lashing out against. Those with money who are buying up property and gentrifying the downtown forcing out the working class that builds their houses and serves them their food. Along with the section 8 who in return have increased crime dramatically in these downtown neighborhoods. After decades of living there moved my family out to the country. They are destroying that city from both ends. Top to bottom. Left before that swamp is drained. Did not want to get caught up in the tidal wave coming for it. *Edit* The protesters are not all gutter punks, they likely are the ones in the groups doing the physical damage. It happens all the time there. They get drunk/high and break stuff.
