And with an ass kicking maybe? I know you'll give it a firm strong hand, which it needs. Like a horse or something. Sometimes you gotta be mean, right? How did it react to acknowledgement?

Nope, it knows the house. It's like a, ummm, family home I guess you could say. Things return to the family home that's been in it for generations. If it's bad advice, why give it?

The question that concerns me -- how difficult will it be to control? Like a wild animal, rabid dog; or will it know its place? I need to pull it back when the work is finished, an assignment is not permission for mayhem.

Very subservient and agreeable. Actually polite. I do not trust it however. Perhaps a ruse to make me relax?

Well, if I must have this "pet", then it can become a working pet -- not unlike a wonderful Aussie Shepherd.

I may have to ask some advice on "puppy potty training" if it gets full of itself.

I know I am strong -- I kept its predecessor at bay from about age 7. I am much stronger now.

I don't think it's the same one but when you told me about it the other day, it felt like the other, like the same type or something, but not that one. That one was trapped and I assume is still trapped? Since that morning when that fucker freaked out and Merit trapped it, I only heard it make a stink once or twice immediately after and didn't hear it again. This one seems less... whiny. That one seemed like a bitchy nasty little snot. This one seems like more eager or something, less nefarious but still slippery. That was my first impression when you told me about it.

I think sort of a ruse but not entirely. They do what they do, you know that. Like it wants to impress or something. Sorry for the vague kind of thinking aloud but I'm just saying what comes to mind and what came to mind the other day. I still feel as I felt then--that this one is useable and is more like an eager dog than an asshole dog like the other. The other fucker, I felt that thing, and it was DISGUSTING. I saw it in the photo immediately as well and of course it all culminated in the morning that Merit had to get rid of it. This one, not so much. It knows I am looking btw and doesn't seem to mind. The other one reacted in that creepy sexual way when I looked.

That was a brutal fight, but in the end .................

If it's food is assignments you send them out on, you do it on a strict schedule. The same time, the same distance between feedings, the same size meals. Everything as uniform as possible. Eventually they become trained. They are quiet until it's feeding time again once they are domesticated.

Like a lab rat stepping on a lever for food. Eventually it's internal clock will tell it when it is feeding time and it will stop worrying the button for food on demand and only interact at dinner time instead of whenever it is hungry.

Especially if pressing the lever at the wrong time gives it a shock when it gets too unruly and ignoring it won't work.

But no matter what it does don't punish it past it's uniform feeding time.

It will learn it gets fed when it gets fed and that you control that.

I actually just got the 'ugh' feeling again when thinking about it how it felt that morning. And the awesome moment when Merit ripped it off. That 'whoosh' sound is totally still in my head. I wonder if it is aware of the fate of it's predecessor. I think it probably is especially if these things 'watch' us.
