Such a beauty! “If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you." - Job 12:7,8 "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." - Hunter S. Of course, the CJ is the predecessor to the Wrangler and buying an AMC or Willies is they way to go, but they are all made in Toledo Ohio and have been for 75 years. Anything other than a Wrangler, JK, TJ, Yj, CJ is pointless. I will make a small argument for the AMC Cherokee XJ (pre 1987) with the Wrangler you have interchangeable parts that span decades for a lot of applications and an aftermarket industry like no other. The older it Ian the easier it is to fix. It's a simple utilitarian vehicle that will do from the factory what no other civilian vehicle can. JEEP ON MY FRIEND! |

Give me the phone book not the cliff notes Oh, they're GREAT...for a couple years. Then the electronics fail, the steering/suspension components wear out and loosen up, motor/drivetrain mounts wear out... PLUS they have that nifty shifter knob/electronic parking brake that killed actor Anton Yelchin. |

bworded User ID: 72325858 United States 05/14/2017 02:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Mercedes Jeeps and Fiat Jeeps flat suck. What do Germans and Italians know about off roading? Nothing, that's what. Too much snowflake tech. Pretty but useless when you need it. 1st - if the transmission filler tube is locked and requires a tech with a temp guage and chart - don't buy it. 2nd - if the directions for checking the oil are more than, "engine off for 30 seconds, add if below full line" - run away with arm flailing. 3rd - if the dealer charges $100 just to plug in the obd reader, find another brand. With a few exceptions (rubicon etc $$$$!) factory Geeps can't handle any real abuse. |

Zero capability compared to a Jeep XJ and definitely a money pit. Old (1995 and back) Rangerover's were OK too but Series and Defenders are the best Landrovers. |
