I'm not spending $10.99 a month just to get 2 day shipping. What a bunch of jerks. I know they didn't say up front that I would be charged that much. They tricked me, those assholes! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62753985 Next time, here's a tip, you can use amazon prime for free... The better option is to place an order using and upgrade to prime with an OLD CREDIT CARD. Then, change the order on the item to a current credit card. Free shipping via Amazon prime at $0. |

Also, thank God for Amazon just for having some products available for purchase. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54771142 You never make back the money in savings unless you do all your shopping there. Year after year, I get more back on my rebate check than the Executive membership costs. If one just buy thier milk, eggs, butter and coffee from Costco, the savings on those items more than covers a membership. Also the prices provided for car rentals through Costco are unbeatable. BTW...used Costco to purchase 3 cars, OUTSTANDING. |

Amazon is Waaaaay more than consumer goods... |

And BTW: it IS usually 2 days shipping, with deliveries on Sunday included free. In many cases I've gotten OVERNIGHT delivery at extra charge! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8080014 Beyond that, there tens of thousands of movies/TV shows you can also watch free. And if you want music? Well.... All it takes is a couple of orders for heavy items [where shipping alone would normally be $40-50] for PRIME to pay for itself. This.....between the videos and shipping, I save alot more than 99 bucks.... ^^this: We do get our t.v. from a roku box and the internet. Amazon prime gives us access to more movies. |

All it takes is a couple of orders for heavy items [where shipping alone would normally be $40-50] for PRIME to pay for itself. This ^^ My schedule is way to busy to have time to go shopping for most items so I order about 10-15 times per month. 98% of the time delivery is free-2 days regardless of the item's weight. Light items from a nearby wearhouse are same day and free. The prime-air delivery (via drone-same day) should be coming to my area soon. The movie library and music library are a nice perk as well. Also being able to check out books on my Kindle (and not having to buy them) is a money saver. I'm happy with my membership. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54771142 You never make back the money in savings unless you do all your shopping there. I agree. Why pay $55.00 a year just to shop there. I shop for my food at Vons. Using the Vons club card and their "just for you" program I accumulate gas points. Twice a month I fill my gas tank with gas at Vons saving one dollar a gallon for two tanks or $30.00 a month. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70161829 United States 05/19/2017 02:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I purchased over 100 items on Amazon in 2016. But, I always check to see if they have the best price. I found a $700 camera for my son which was the same price on Amazon as B&H photo. But, B&H sent it tax free, so I saved $48. They also gave me free 2 day shipping). I stream a few movies during the year and listen to the music which is free. So, for about $8. a month and the convenience and gas savings of not going to a brick and mortar store, it is just fine. Also, if you don't get it when promised, you call customer service and tell them you want consideration for the item not being delivered as promised. In the past they have given me a free month extension and also dollar amounts depending on the item. I believe the most was $20. The thing to do if you contact customer service is to immediately ask for a US based representative so you don't have to explain yourself a half dozen times. |
