‘Where nobody’s ever gone’: India’s mission to unexplored regions of the Moon starts in a few hours

India’s 500 million poor people are sure glad that this money was spent on putting a camera in orbit around the moon rather than buying them food and clean water.

So you think that India should distribute the expenses for the project among the 500 million poor people and give each of them 20 Rupees (= $ 0.3)?

Meanwhile the US of A have lost their capability of sending humans in orbit since the final Space Shuttle landing 21 July 2011 (8 years and counting).

They have to hitch $$$$$$ rides on Russian Soyuz ships until the day they will again have a capable vehicile to take their own astronauts to space... no one even knows when.

Or some of the 500 million could get out of poverty and get a job related to the project, e.g. manufacturing the bolts and nuts for the rocket engines.
