How to finish spiritual search?

once you begin you cannot remove that which you've looked at...can you?

I feel like a drug user. My mind wants to get high on spiritual stuff but I am tired of it.

I think you're 100% full of shit and doing nothing more than trolling.

I've had the same thoughts on occasion; not that I wanted to unlearn anything, but more the realization that "I can never go home again", metaphorically speaking of course :P

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you have to find a way to deal with it and move forwards, not backwards. You can't go back to blissful ignorance and forget what you know any more than you can unlearn how to speak English. Perhaps just realizing that you'll never find "it" from reading or thinking about it is a good first step, and then just take it from there.

Whatever you do, it should be practical from now on... that kind of puts the whole overwhelming theoretical aspect of it back to a more subconscious level.

Then stop trying to get high on spiritual stuff. Try helping someone else like: "take the yoke off your brother's shoulder". "Then your light will shine forth as the morning".

Where most people fail in their spiritual walk is focusing on self and looking within. Eastern religion is full of that stuff. Christianity is the only religion on earth that looks outside of ourselves for salvation, for grace to overcome, and strength to obey--not the law per se, but the promptings of the holy spirit to lift the burdens of others.

You know the story of Christ--I don't have to spoonfeed you that milk. Go on to the meat. Jesus came so that you would seek to know the father who sent Him. Jesus left this earth so that THE FATHER would send the Comforter. Once you have MET the Comforter (by faith--not by feeling), nothing on earth will match your spiritual high.

Jesus is the alphas and the omega
when you get to Him
you are there

the only true way you will finish your spiritual search is in death, only then will you know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Death does not exist. Death is a very negative word. "Crossing on the other side" is much better.

Learn to train your body to become an astral teleportation portal. This planet can be one of the various places that you visit and not just something of the past of which you abandon all together. Those who believe death and physical separation is the only solution to end suffering don't understand our potential very well in the physical world.

Only when you find peace here, will you then understand that the "other side" is an endless journey of development. There is no "end all" liberation like most people want to believe. The reality of reincarnation and EVP recordings leaves that argument questionable as well.
