Me and my buddy ride a tandem bicycle to work. | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 524066 Germany 10/12/2008 08:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In actuality they should be laughing at the 170lb guy who takes a 5,000lb Humvee to work while getting 3.6 MPG. Quoting: mercury2The thought of the sight of that should make people piss themselves while coming unglued - laughing. Good point! Because that really is preposterous! Hey OP, good for you, I am glad you guys are riding your bike and having fun with it too. Gives the coworkers something to talk about and a laugh at work always makes the day go better. Not only are you saving money and wear and tear on the car, but you are providing an important social function as well! Keep up the good work! and, this thread made me laugh too! So you see, you are doing the right thing and reaching many people, soon, you will be famous, starting with your job, everyone knows who you are there now, then, everyone on GLP will know about you and your tandem excursions, next . . . . . ? exactly. |

And they aren't just the people obviously on vacation with camping gear but more of the people that are dressed for work. What they don't realize is they are risking their lives because we don't have bike lanes just soft shoulders and mean drivers. |

After reading this thread a couple of weeks ago I ask a co-worker about the idea of going to work together on a tandem and even if he laughed for a while thinking I was joking, he finally believe it was a good idea after hearing my arguments. Anyway, I am unsure about which kind of tandem to buy, if you could give me your feedback about the brand you are using and experiences, it will help me and probably many others users in here that think about buying one. Cheers! |

It caught me off guard again and I spit tea all over the place. Quoting: _Storm_Are you a Brit? Americans only drink coffee. Mostly. It is tea with ice cubes in it. We drink that in the south. Got a glass of Sweet Tea right here in front of me. I think I'd rather have a motorcycle or a scooter. |

Especially, when your buddy has to work after hours |
