The first part of the New World Translation was released in 1950. Since then, some people have commented on or questioned the accuracy of the New World Translation a because in places it differs from other translations of the Bible. The reasons for these differences usually fall into one of the following categories.

Reliability. The New World Translation is based on up-to-date scholarly research and the most reliable ancient manuscripts. In contrast, the King James Version of 1611 was based on manuscripts that were often less accurate and not as old as those used in producing the New World Translation.

Re: Is the New World Translation of the bible Accurate? Why was it desired, isn't the KJV holier sounding?
Faithfulness. The New World Translation strives to convey faithfully the original message that was inspired by God. (2 Timothy 3:16) Many translations of the Bible sacrifice faithfulness to God’s message in favor of following human traditions, for instance by replacing God’s personal name, Jehovah, with titles such as Lord or God.

Literalness. Unlike paraphrased translations, the New World Translation renders words literally as long as doing so does not result in awkward wording or hide the thought of the original writings. Translations that paraphrase the Bible’s original text may insert human opinions or omit important details.

No, the New World 'translation' of the Bible is corrupt.

For example, the New World 'translation' calls Jesus 'a god', not THE God.

'a god' implies that there are many gods ... and there aren't.

There is only ONE God ... YHWH or Jesus is what we know Him as.

Why would you even consider a corrupt book produced by a corrupt organization? That's crazy. Put it away .. better yet, put it in the fire.

So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of divine favor and truth. 15(John bore witness about him, yes, he cried out: “This was the one of whom I said, ‘The one coming behind me has advanced in front of me, for he existed before me.’”) 16 For we all received from his fullness, even undeserved kindness upon undeserved kindness. 17Because the Law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ. 18No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him. The better question to ask yourself is why are you worried about different translations of a book you wholeheartedly deny? Why would you place your trust regarding your eternity in a 150 year-old manmade religion that openly denies the only one who can save your soul?

Re: Is the New World Translation of the bible Accurate? Why was it desired, isn't the KJV holier sounding?
Differences between the New World Translation and other translations

Missing books. In their Bibles, the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches include books known by some as the Apocrypha. However, those books were not accepted into the Je..sh canon, and it is noteworthy that the Bible says that the J..s were the ones who were “entrusted with the sacred pronouncements of God.” (Romans 3:1, 2) Thus, the New World Translation and many other modern Bible translations rightly exclude the books of the Apocrypha.

Missing verses. Some translations add verses and phrases that are not in the oldest available Bible manuscripts, but the New World Translation excludes such added material. Many modern translations either omit those later additions or acknowledge that those additions lack support from the most authoritative sources. b

The Watchtower Society is quite familiar with Pastor Johannes Greber and his translation of The New Testament. They have quoted him at least nine times in their publications dating from 1956 to 1983.

It all began in 1956 in the Watchtower. Greber was revealed as a spiritist who translated the New Testament with help from God's spirits.

It was 1962 when the Society introduced a new booklet entitled The Word, Who Is He? According to John. They quote Greber's translation of John 1:1. as "and the Word was a god" (p. 5) instead of "and the Word was God."

 Quoting: DGN

No man has seen God at any time?

Did the Bible not stated we are made in the image of God, the energy image of love and compassion. And that the Kingdom of God, that is love and compassion, is within us; in the yet unknown part of every one of the hundreds of trillions of DNA in each human body.

Don’t take Father and Son referenced in the Bible literally. They are metaphors for multi-dimensional energies that among other things could at will exist anywhere or everywhere in unbound multiplicities.

Sounds too weird? Well, some scientists are beginning to uncover that a stationary atomic object could briefly be at two different places at the same time.

To see God, perhaps take a look in the mirror and find the love and compassion within us.

God is not a human looking individual sitting on a mighty royal throne somewhere far away in a secluded paradise comfortably observing us.

God is in each one us us, going through and feeling what we go through and feel through entanglement and connectivity.

For us, a big part of living life is to gain the wisdom and benevolently maturity to solve the puzzle of who or what we truly are and the true purpose of us being here.

We are not here accidentally or randomly. We are here with divine purpose.

It all goes back to love and compassion, which are much more than just simply human emotions.

This whole universe and everything in it were created in love and compassion.

The biggest illusion on Earth is that we believe we are separate and disconnected from God.

Guess who benefits the most by keeping us unaware and suppressing our spiritual growth to work the puzzle of who or what we truly are.

A hint is that evil can not exist where there is love and compassion.

Our true nature is love and compassion, two of the highest vibration multi-dimensional energies.

As Nikola Tesla had uncovered, to find the secrets to the universe think in terms of energy, vibration, and frequency.

Ponder on why all spiritually advanced humans here throughout there ages uniformly taught people a better way of living life that aligns with love and compassion.

Love and compassion are universal multi-dimensional energies far beyond human religions. Energies that are all connected and entangled in Oneness.

All advance physics, not fantasy or delusion.

Positive comments about the New World Translation from non-Witness scholars

In a letter dated December 8, 1950, noted Bible translator and scholar Edgar J. Goodspeed wrote regarding the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures: “I am interested in the mission work of your people, and its world wide scope, and much pleased with the free, frank and vigorous translation. It exhibits a vast array of sound serious learning, as I can testify.”
Bible translator and scholar Edgar J. Goodspeed

Edgar J. Goodspeed

Professor Allen Wikgren of the University of Chicago cited the New World Translation as an example of a modern speech version that rather than being derived from other translations, often has “independent readings of merit.”—The Interpreter’s Bible, Volume I, page 99.

Are you joking dgn, the nwt is absoulte garbage. Biblehub doesnt even host the NWT translation as it is so lowly regarded amongst bibles.

NWT uses the corrupt westcott and hort translation, which uses the vaticanus and alexandrian translations, so realistically the nwt has more in common with the catholic church. The kjv doesnt use the garbage vaticanus like the nwt

Ethiopian Bible is the most accurate, and then the old King James Bible. All bibles that came afterwards are counterfeits... they are 10% or more different for copyright purposes. For a good breakdown-comparison of bibles to the KJB, check out "New Age Bible Versions" by Gail Riplinger. It is a real eye-opener! Also, notice that you don't need a copyright to publish the King James Bible, but some ignorant publishers get one anyway.
