We hear it in Denmark too, along with the real rumble which feels like a microquake or something heavy moving, but i know the hum you are talking about, it began along with the rumbles(which are being heard in many places around the world, esp along the stretch/compression zones, it sounds like that poster said like inside yet outside your ears at the same time, and believe me everyone is hearing it.. they are just in denial and won't admit it...

It's MKUltra. They use it to control and lull the masses. It's been going on for years. I also read somewhere, (can't find the link), that the gov found that the low humming also keeps our "visitors" calm. I really don't know what to believe. If truth is stranger than fiction, then could this be real?

i think there might be something to this too. about a month ago, in one of the threads here at GLP, me and 3 or 4 others all felt/heard a huge shift in pressure right before that 7.9 quake in tonga, mostly from the same general area. it had the accompanying ear ring, which is what drew all of our attention together right before the quake happened, or possibly as it happened and had not been reported.

either way, i have heard the ringing...very severe ringing...for the last week and a half. i don't know if anyone remembers who else was on that thread, but it's the same ring without the feeling of resituation. it indeed happens mostly at night...between about 7 pm and 2 am central time. i don't hear it constantly though, and when it does strike its very, very intense. then i saw that there have been many earthquakes in the last couple of weeks, being reported on a couple of other threads here as well. could there be a correlation between harmonics and what happens with an earthquake? instead of measuring the ground to try and predict them, should we instead be listening to the air around us?

don't worry about turning everything off to try and stop it, it's nothing electrical that you can shut off with a switch. it's something larger than that, and i bet it has something to do with whatever is effing up our planet from the depths of space. probably going to be more earthquakes if it continues, probably going to be more and more people realizing they actually HEAR what we are talking about

Anyone who says that what we are expeiencing is tinitus, either has never heard it or has not experienced tinitus!
What I hear is definitely not tinitus. I can say this because I have had some tinitus in the past, and its not even vaguely similar.
The reason I believed that this was an environmental stimulus was because I resorted to ear plugs after some time, as I was desperate to block it out. Interestingly the earplugs did reduce the noise. If I entirely block my ears I can get rid of the noise.
Has anyone else tried this?
However I cannot explain the fact that it is always there no matter where I go in the world. Clearly from other peoples comments this is a world wide phenomenon, and therefore must be coming from either deep within the earth or above the earth.

I think it makes sense that it is something from within or above the earth, particularly as some have connected the rising in the noise to earthquakes.

I hear the noise and live on a ley line - does anyone else know if they are on a ley line or near to a ley line?

I live in New Zealand, which does have a fault line running through it. However, the idea of ley lines is very interesting as it is said that electrical or magnetic energy is associated with these. I have very limited knowledge about ley lines and where they run around the world but would be interested to find out more....

For the past month or so I have been hearing a very low level humming sound. No one else hears it and I'm starting to wonder WTF is going on. I hear it mostly at night and early morning, because I'm guessing it's the quiet time of the day (night).

This humming is not constant, it sounds like an electric motor trying to cycle. I've turned off all the curcuits in the house so I know it's not from within the house. I can even hear it when I'm out in the woods or at the neighbors house.
It's really starting to bug me out!

Wow, I thought I was going crazy...I'm with you. I hear it all night every night. Sometimes I hear a faint sound of music? I was afraid to tell my wife, but she even brought it up recently. She hates my cruising these type sites ... thinks they are too extreme, but maybe she is waking up?!

Hear it from time to time, usually is brief, less than a minute and it stops. Nothing like the tinnitus I also hear which sucks.

Anybody living in CHCH NZ , and hearing a hum ....Im working on getting it stopped.

The council has large trucks with vacuum cleaners on the back , a 4ltr deisel motor drives the vaccum.

The sound baffles have gone on at least 2 of these trucks , and they have been fudging sound level tests to get away with working 24/7 pumping out a hum at about 170Hz and 102dBA at a distance of 10mtrs.

I live in a suburban area of Auckland, so most definitely urban. When I first started experiencing the noise it was only for brief times and some nights it was never there. Gradually it has built up until 4 years later I now hear it every night and all night (if I happen to wake up any time prior to morning its there).
However, as i mentioned earlier in the thread, I have travelled to other countries and experienced it also. The interesting thing is that when I travel, often I don't hear it for a night or 2, and then it comes back. Without sounding paranoid, its like I've "outrun" it and it takes a day or 2 to find me again.... well its like that.
Its got me very intrigued now and as agrevating as it is, I would love to know more about it.

I hear it too!!! It has been driving me nuts for the past 2 years! I live in Las Vegas. I started hearing it about 2 years ago and I thought a truck was idling down the street? Then I thought it might be the a/c units from a casino that was across the street. But I have recently moved 8 miles north where we do not have close neighbors and I still hear it but it is LOUDER!!!

It's hard to describe. It's like a trash truck engine idle, or a deep drilling sound, or a motor running somewhere. I am the only one in the house that hears it!!!

Pretty wierd, just about 2 weeks ago i started hearing this noise. To me it sounds like a washing machine full of dry leaves. Or someone with a screb brush scrubbing something back and forth. It doesnt stop. I can hear it day or night if i go in my back yard. No matter how much i walk and try to find the sound when i get to where it sounds like it should be coming from it sounds far away again. sounds like....

I've been hearing what sounds like large cat purring around the head of my bed off and on for over a year now. Oddly, it's in a 6 or so foot bubble that's only at the head of my bed.

Were such due to the more general sources given in this thread, I'd hear the sounds in other places too. But, to date, I have not.

A freind of mine has the same phenomenon at the head of her bed as well.

I dont hear it every night but really often and I always hear faint music or it sounds like a muffled old time talk radio show far in the distance..Cant make out any words,etc but the sounds are there.Maybe its an ear infection.I dont know
