Sorry but no, this is the EXACT same argument, have you worked with kids in care?

I'm not talking about dangerous child abducters stalking parks, i'm talking about incestuous molestation, kids who've been abused (sexually, emotionally or physically) stand a very high chance of becoming abusers themselves and continue the cycle.

These kinds of abuse fall into the same category....FACT, else everything they taught me in college was false and Freud is dickhead.

Has it ever occured to you that what your saying is defences so that you don't need to deal with your own pain? I suspect that there is a lot of things that you aren't willing to deal with in your own past.

Beating kids and molesting kids are both abuse. I was beaten when I was a kid and I know it was abuse. In a perfect world we would stop all abuse immedietly, but I'm not sure how we do this since its such a widespread problem. Which approach do you think is better, watch the abuse and think critical thoughts or approach the parent and try to make a positive difference. I'm not saying you would have any affect but it has more chance then judgemental thoughts kept to onceself.
