Then everyone has to lift something up to use the toilet. Equality! Quoting: The GuySeconded! The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. -Albert Einstein |

The lid should be lowered PRIOR to flushing. Upon flushing the particles can travel up to 6 feet. Lowering the lid prevents this. It isn't about men vs. women. It is about sanitation. The Orignal. Just don't pee on the "girl" seat and leave the mess there. I always look before sitting, but when I have to pee really bad, the LAST thing I want to do is have to take the time to clean up hubby's sprinkles before I can sit down! It sux to stand there, legs crossed TWICE, doing a not-so-happy dance while frantically mopping up sprinkles! |
G. House User ID: 511799 United States 09/27/2008 11:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know, I will probably get flamed by a bunch of women. But flame on, don't you like to be aware of your surroundings??? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4893831.) Why on earth would you ever sit down on a toilet without looking back? You don’t know what’s there. Even if your man is a good boy 100% of the time and leaves the seat down, why do you just decide to sit down without looking ? Why would you want to take that chance? What is the harm of simply glancing back ? 2.) Men don’t usually complain about women leaving the seat down. Why is it such a big deal whether the seat is up or down ? Who effing cares ? If it’s up, all you gotta do is move it down with the flick of your wrist. If it’s down, simply lift it up. I don’t understand why men and women get into huge arguments and why some marriages are strained because of this. I have also heard many women complain about going out to eat and using the bathroom, and accidentally sitting in pee on the seat because the last person didn’t clean up. WHY would you blindly trust a stranger in the bathroom to clean up ? Why on earth would you not glance back for a second to see if the toilet is clean enough to put paper on ? Have we all become that lazy ? It’s your ass. Protect it by looking back at the seat. Are you married? Live with a woman or women? Do you have a brain in your head? Learn to pick your battles carefully as there are very few you're going to win. This one is not worth it. Trust me. "Everybody lies." |

futrono User ID: 486602 Chile 09/27/2008 11:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The default position in public toilet lids should be UP. Lowered only when neede and after being used automatically (ergo by itself) goes back up. I guess it would require some sort of mechanism -springs etc.. for such a redesign. Problem solved !!! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 501302but the question is really - Toilet Paper: "Pull from the top or from the bottom?" I say "Top" Oh, no. Toilet paper must unroll from the bottom. It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out. |

I prefer the very clever solution previously posted -by me of course-( "default position up"). The flushing particles issue is currently being addreses by new designs that use less water and pressure. thus less floating particles This should be advocated as THE standard as soon as the world rises again... |
