It is an interview from 1995 where Obama states that the white executives in the suburbs do not want their taxes to pay for black kids to go to school. He blames all the problems of the African American community on white people, and compares the plight of Black People in America to the ethnic genocide of Bosnia and Africa. Quoting: MUST SEE THIS 506460He admits that his redistribution of the wealth is directly to save the Black Community and for his own salvation. This is the crux of his Socialism Program. Please Embed. This is a critical look at Obama's beliefs and his mindset. [link to www.youtube.com] Never mind about the embed. It worked on the first try. |

There is something severely wrong with our system and it is definitely not monetary. I pay some of the highest property taxes in this nation to fund the public schools. $6,000 annually, and that is for a modest house. I do not think throwing more money at them is going to solve the problem. There is no motivation for these children to learn, and it starts at home. Funding for K-12 schools According to a 2005 report from the OECD, the United States is tied for first place with Switzerland when it comes to annual spending per student on its public schools, with each of those two countries spending more than $11,000 (in U.S. currency). [50] Despite this high level of funding, U.S. public schools lag behind the schools of other rich countries in the areas of reading, math, and science. [51] As noted above, while arguments can be made whether overall funding is adequate, the amount actually reaching the classroom level is not adequate to fully fund classroom activities.[52] According to a 2007 article in The Washington Post, the Washington D.C. public school district spends $12,979 per student per year. This is the third highest level of funding per student out of the 100 biggest school districts in the U.S. Despite this high level of funding, the school district provides outcomes that are lower than the national average. In reading and math, the district's students score the lowest among 11 major school districts - even when poor children are compared only with other poor children. 33% of poor fourth graders in the U.S. lack basic skills in math, but in Washington D.C., it's 62%. IDK about this ; but where does the U.S. rank in educational spending? I would like to think it is pretty high in comparison to other nations. I agree with you AC 41914 the U.S. educational system just plain sucks! But you cant just throw money at something and think that is the answer. You should read up on Obama's and his educational advisors educational philosophies and how similar they are to Bill Ayer's educational philosophies. Centralized Federal Government education IS NOT THE ANSWER! Slavery reparations in the form of repayment of centuries of "education debt" is not the answer! |

I had better insurance than anyone I know. It even paid for a coworker to get a boob job. The insurance is called MESSA (in Michigan) and costs the taxpayers about 1700 per MONTH per school employee. Many of the people in the school district who work at low paying jobs with crappy insurance, have NO IDEA how well paid these teachers are and how expensive their benefits are. How would you like t make 50K a year, have the best insurance, summer off, two weeks at Christmas and one at Easter, with every federal holiday off, PAID? |

I just wanted to give a quick reference to the funding of our schools, which is more than any other country, and tied with Switzerland for first. This info is readily available on the internet. BECAUSE YOUR ENTIRE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY LEFTISTS! - like for example Bill Ayres. Never mind your media, entertainment, judiciary and even the political system is firmly in the hands of the hard left. You are fucked big time! - you had better hope ascension is for real - otherwise your future is extremely dark! |

They are LAZY... the more you give them... the more they expect. I listened on the radio yesterday to so many black people saying that Obman will make the Whites PAY THEM... they deserve more. My issues is that to GIVE 100% is wrong... we should make REQUIREMENTS that that THEY MUST TAKE ACTION and come 1/2 way to HELP SELF. This is the only way any type of hand-out will help. But .... considering that the Mr Magoo... the Ex-Fed Reserve Chariman just said yesterday during the hearing..... that when the baby boomers retire 1/2 of that generation will NOT RECEIVE any benefits because the MONEY IS NOT THERE... THERE IS NO MONEY.. for anyone.!!!!!! THEN, how does he expect to pay for anything new... when the people from the 60's have already paid in... and they will not be able to pay up to those obligations? How can you create NEW OBLIGATION?? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 533963 Ireland 10/24/2008 10:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The problem with schools isn't a lack of money. Schools are set up to dumb people down. The more money you give to Federally-run schools, the better they can dumb down the students. The first step is returning the control of schools to the community. MORE MONEY ALONE WON'T IMPROVE ANYTHING. |

You just need to look past the illusion. Take off his mask and you can see the hate seething under there. We do not need this. Especially now at this point in our history. With the financial markets in turmoil it sets the stage for Obama to restructure in a pure Socialistic and Marxist fashion. The stage could not be more favorable for this to occur. |
