Otherwise our children will starve to death. were such pussies , aren't we? You may need to be an employee today, but you don't have to STAY an employee forever. Being an employee is more of a "comfort zone" than anything. It's fucking scary as fuck to step out of that realm and start risking shit on a business idea. I understand that because I did it. I know exactly how scary that shit is - ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE KIDS! Nothing says you have to do it all at once. Start a side business and work it part time - that's what I did. At some point, if it works, you'll start making more money with it than you are at your job and you'll reach the point where you see that working for another man is a waste of your time and is actually COSTING YOU. Then, you'll know it's time to make the switch. Assets feed you, liabilities eat you. |

One can do right by the employer(customer), yet never surrender his dignity, and always look for the win/win situations that characterize the true independent. A good employer will accept that gratefully. Of course, stupidity like "drug" tests must always be refused or avoided. Any organization that insists on such a thing can be regarded as criminal and treated as such. |

OneSweetWorld User ID: 43915335 United States 11/01/2013 11:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am self employed have been for 20 years I cut hair, I love it at times and I can't stand it at times, I find it utterly sick how some races expect you to do so much for them it's not funny, I am a girl maybe that is why, I have kicked so many people out of my hair it's sad. It's basically one specific race that bothers me to no end. They actually think I owe them the world and it's sad I tend to mess the hair up on purpose only because. They only know small, medium and large for a haircut mind you I am a barber. By the time I have cut this persons hair the 5th time it's a buzz cut. Why not tell me that to begin with and no tip of course, I wouldn't take a hand out either, but I also don't like being treated as if I should be the low man on the list. This wasn't like this 4 years ago and it's sad. Sorry this may be off topic but I just wanted to share how I feel about my job and being self-employed and how I think people think you owe them something because you are self-employed. Sittin' on top of the World with my legs hanging free...... |
