Does our reality include the ability to "program" future events by talking about them, or merely focusing on them? Should we all be more careful about what we pay attention to, and what comes out of our mouths? Or is it just a random coincidence that this minor event messed up my family's holiday?
Program or predict? Where you being warned with in your own thoughts by a power you have yet to discover?
"Should we be more careful?" Look around & pay attention, you will be able to answer that question for yourself.
"random coincidence" Is just intellectual laziness IMO.

But in the case of 9/11/01 there were dozens of so-called coincidences that were just too impossible to believe. It was a tip-off that 9/11 WAS an inside job.

Re: Do conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence?
Sure there is coincidence however we know for a fact that it is all about power and that power is exerted through control. Control of resources and control of people. There are purposeful and concerted efforts to control us. We also know that TPTB/government/MSM all lie.
So how do you know when it is real or when it is memorex?

Re: Do conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence?
Four days ago I remarked to a co-worker that it was lucky I hadn't been stung by a bee, wasp, hornet, or yellow jacket in at least 20 years because I tend to have allergic reactions to being stung. I may have "jinxed " myself because yesterday I was stung by a wasp on my eyebrow, and ended up in the emergency room four 4 hours with severe swelling of my entire head and neck, hives, itching and redness from the waist up, and difficulty breathing. My condition was easily treated with oxygen and an allergic reaction cocktail of drugs, and I am fine; just the right side of my face is swollen now.
Now to my point: most conspiracy theorists I talk to, and blogs I read suggest that there is no such thing as coincidence when it comes to TPTB, NWO, etc. Does our reality include the ability to "progam" future events by talking about them, or merely focusing on them? You're asking about if conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence on a message board that is covered in religious propaganda.
I wont' even dignify this question with an answer.

Unfortunately, you caused it to happen by saying it. You should have 'knocked on wood' literally - as soon as you said it. It cancels out anything you say (and thereby 'put out there') that you don't want to happen.

I would suggest you go to your nearest book store and pick up "The Field" by Lynn McTaggart. This is for beginners. For advanced readers, research LERM - MPO (Light Encoded Reality Matrix, Manifest Production Observership)
I would also begin researching the ancient concepts "thought creates reality" and the "law of attraction". Whether you tend toward science or esoterics, you'll find the two schools of thought merge rather quickly.
"I think, therfore I AM" will take on a whole new meaning once you start to understand the nature of our reality.

Yes coincidences are often divine intervention, but often subjective variables influence our perception.

Hmm, now that you mention it...yes something very coincidental happened to me lol. However, I still don't believe everything happens for a reason...Life throws stupid shit at us everyday and it's how we perceive these events that makes us point towards coincidence.
If anything, I do have a belief that everyone is a little psychic and possibly have the ability to foreshadow future events in strange ways whether they know it or not, and regardless of whether they plan for it to happen or not. Free will and choice is still there and it's for this reason why we don't see connections between every planned or unaware/coincidental event that comes our way.

Yours was just a single event. However 100 events over a century that all seem to bring about suffering to the masses, including much of the world's wealth flowing into a few hands, makes one pause to consider. The National Debt for example has kept getting larger and larger for the longest time no matter which party is in control. This is not exactly is this in the best interest of the people.

I think you need to ask yourself what is a conspiracy theorist? someone who notices thinks most of the sheep do not, which means they are more aware than most....
There is no such thing as coincidense because what you focus on comes to you. However you could have saved yourself a lot of pain had you made one small comment when you focused so on the wasps.... We talk about things we do not want in our life sometimes, it's hard not to unless you become a complete hermit.... So when you catch yourself focusing on something you do not want in your life, Say to yourself or outloud, "Not for me", this will tell your spirit and daemon that even though you were focusing on it, you caught yourself and do not want it.... the more you do this the faster your life will speed up, meaning all those things you focused on in the past that have not come about yet will start coming about faster as you are negating stuff in the here and now.... Ideally this will mean that within a week or so you will be able to see how YOU are creating your life and your part in it.... for in a small amount of time(different for everyone) you will focus on something and notice it coming to you almost immediately. so stay on your toes if you try this....

So, based on the laws of attraction, which I clearly don't understand or I wouldn't have made the stupid comment about getting stung, is your theory that if all - or enough - Americans focused on shrinking the national debt that it would actually shrink?

Re: Do conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence?
Are there conspiracies? Yes.
Are there coincidences? Yes.
Can they co-exist? Yes.
Does that make it more difficult to discern the truth? Yes.
As usual the answers lie more closely to the balance than they do at the extremes. Humans dislike that. Most prefer certainty.
My experience is that concentrating on what's good, healthy and right for myself helps me to avoid a focus on the negative. The more I focus on the positive, the more I notice it. And conversely.
With Quantum Physics now telling us that observation alone seems to change the way particles act, it certainly gives rise to speculation about these things.
But I wouldn't consider that a magic formula which will make all things okay for me. That work still belongs to me.

There's something in our subconscious that foresees events, usually trivial events, othertimes not so trivial and sometimes raises awareness to the degree of saying or thinking something pertaining to that event. Usually we don't catch this functioning within ourselves, don't recognize what our subconscious is doing, how it's trying to warn us to avoid/prepare.
It often happens with me while I'm doing something else. The classic is the random thought "Gee, I'd love to buy a quart of orange juice and just down it." Usually I don't act on that thought, and within a day or two feel the onset of a headcold. Unconscious was trying to warn me I was under assault and needed vitamin C.
Events cast their shadows before themselves. Our unconscious perceives those "shadows".

You may now be on to an entirely different can of worms. Is precognition not the unconscious foreshadowing of events, but rather our potentially inaccurate perception of time as linear?
