Iranian President Ahmadinejad DID NOT Threaten To "Wipe Israel Off The Map."
Here is Ahmadinejad's actual quote translated directly to English: "The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."

[link to representativepress.blogspot.com]

Pundits and politicians are telling falsehoods which manipulate the public into accepting a confrontation with Iran. Either out of ignorance or by intention, pundits and politicians are actively helping to create a confrontation with Iran. (most are probably regurgitating what they heard from news sources which falsely reported what Ahmadinejad said.) They are manipulating public opinion by misrepresenting what he said. As you can see, Iranian President Ahmadinejad DID NOT threaten to "wipe Israel off the map."

"The Iranian president was quoting an ancient statement by Iran's first Islamist leader, the late Ayatollah Khomeini, that "this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time" just as the Shah's regime in Iran had vanished.

He was not making a military threat. He was calling for an end to the occupation of Jerusalem at some point in the future. The "page of time" phrase suggests he did not expect it to happen soon. There was no implication that either Khomeini, when he first made the statement, or Ahmadinejad, in repeating it, felt it was imminent, or that Iran would be involved in bringing it about." - Ahmadinejad never said Israel should be "wiped off the map".

President Ahmadinejad was talking about the occupying regime which is a form of government. On Feb 20, 2006 Iran's foreign minister confirmed what Ahmadinejad was actually referring to, "He is talking about the regime."

Ahmadinejad has repeatedly made clear he is talking about a democratic political process being the way the regime will vanish:

"I think that the Israeli government is a fabricated government and I have talked about the solution. The solution is democracy. We have said allow Palestinian people to participate in a free and fair referendum to express their views. What we are saying only serves the cause of durable peace. We want durable peace in that part of the world. A durable peace will only come about with once the views of the people are met."

Ahmadinejad has been explicate about how he thinks the regime will vanish and it is clear he is talking about a political process and not an attack as many in the mainstream media would like you to believe: "As the Soviet Union disappeared, the Zionist regime will also vanish and humanity will be liberated."

"Rather than imply a military threat or escalation in rhetoric, this reference to Russia actually validates the intended meaning of Ahmadinejad's previous misinterpreted anti-Zionist statements." - a dangerous rumor has spread

Someone at the Associated Press altered this quote, what the AP did is "irrefutable proof of media manipulation and propaganda in action. The AP altered the quote to sound more threatening."

Iran's Ahmadinejad – a self-hating Jew?

Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has exasperated the world with incensed condemnations of Israel and his insistence that the Holocaust is a hoax, but could there be another reason behind his seeming hatred for the Jews?

According to a London Telegraph report, his ferocity may be overcompensation … for his own Jewish roots.

Examining a photo of the Iranian president holding aloft his identity card during the nation's 2008 elections, the newspaper discovered Ahmadinejad's original family name – prior to their conversion to Islam – was Sabourjian, a Jewish name meaning "cloth weaver."

Ahmadinejad has not denied that his name was changed when his family moved to Tehran in the 1950s, but he has also never confirmed what that original name was.

A note on his identification papers, when magnified from the photo, however, suggests the man from Aradan, Iran, carried a common Jewish name from the region of his birth. "Sabourjian," the Telegraph reports, is even on the list of reserved names for Iranian Jews compiled by Iran's Ministry of the Interior.

Order Jerome Corsi's "Why Israel Can't Wait: The Coming War between Israel and Iran" exclusively for your Kindle from Amazon today.

"This aspect of Mr. Ahmadinejad's background explains a lot about him," commented Ali Nourizadeh of the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies. "Every family that converts into a different religion takes a new identity by condemning their old faith."

Nouizadeh told the Telegraph, "By making anti-Israeli statements, he is trying to shed any suspicions about his Jewish connections. He feels vulnerable in a radical Shia society."

Ahmadinejad, the fourth of seven children to a man who worked as an ironworker, grocer, barber and blacksmith, moved with his family to Tehran was he was a small child. Reportedly, the family moved to seek better economic fortunes, but also took on the new, Islamic name.

A 2007 Congressional Research Service report lists the Iranian president's original family name as "Saborjhian," linking the name to the Farsi "sabor," meaning "thread painter."

Some biographers, including Joel C. Rosenberg, list Ahmadinejad's original family name as "Sabaghian," meaning "dye-master" in Persian.

But the Telegraph reports the name on his papers is "Sabourjian" and cites a London-based expert on Iranian Jewry, who says the "jian" ending is specifically Jewish.

"He has changed his name for religious reasons, or at least his parents had," said the newspaper's source. "Sabourjian is well known Jewish name in Iran."

If Ahmadinejad is of Jewish ancestry, he has done much to distance himself from his heritage.

In a 2006 speech aired on the Iranian News Channel, Ahmadinejad listed alleged crimes by Israel against Palestinians while the crowd chanted, "Death to Israel! Death to Israel!"

Ahmadinejad responded, speaking of the Jewish people, "They have no boundaries, limits or taboos when it comes to killing human beings. Who are they? Where did they come from? Are they human beings? 'They are like cattle, nay, more misguided.' A bunch of bloodthirsty barbarians. Next to them, all the criminals of the world seem righteous."

That same year, he said, "[Israel] will be gone, definitely. You [Western powers] should know that any government that stands by the Zionist regime from now on will not see any result but the hatred of the people."

At a U.N. meeting last month, the Iranian president denounced Israel for "genocide, barbarism and racism."

"Yesterday, the man who calls the Holocaust a lie spoke from this podium," responded Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the same U.N. summit. "A mere six decades after the Holocaust, you give legitimacy to a man who denies the murder of six million Jews while promising to wipe out the State of Israel, the State of the Jews. What a disgrace. What a mockery of the charter of the United Nations."

The Telegraph reports it contacted the Israeli embassy in London for comment on Ahmadinejad's birth name but was told it would not speak on the Iranian president's background.

"It's not something we'd talk about," said Ron Gidor, a spokesman.

Americans can't see past the propaganda. Where does the propaganda come from? Let Joel Stein tell you.

Joel Stein: How Jewish is Hollywood? (file under: answers)
A poll finds more Americans disagree with the statement that 'Jews control Hollywood.' But here's one Jew who doesn't.
Joel Stein
The L.A. Times
December 19, 2008
I have never been so upset by a poll in my life. Only 22% of Americans now believe "the movie and television industries are pretty much run by Jews," down from nearly 50% in 1964. The Anti-Defamation League, which released the poll results last month, sees in these numbers a victory against stereotyping. Actually, it just shows how dumb America has gotten. Jews totally run Hollywood. How deeply Jewish is Hollywood? When the studio chiefs took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago to demand that the Screen Actors Guild settle its contract, the open letter was signed by: News Corp. President Peter Chernin (Jewish), Paramount Pictures Chairman Brad Grey (Jewish), Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Robert Iger (Jewish), Sony Pictures Chairman Michael Lynton (surprise, Dutch Jew), Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer (Jewish), CBS Corp. Chief Executive Leslie Moonves (so Jewish his great uncle was the first prime minister of Israel), MGM Chairman Harry Sloan (Jewish) and NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker (mega-Jewish). If either of the Weinstein brothers had signed, this group would have not only the power to shut down all film production but to form a minyan with enough Fiji water on hand to fill a mikvah.

Oil and the History of Israel

[link to www.sandersresearch.com]

Oil played a large role in the lives of Israel's fathers.

In the 1880s, Alfonse Rothschild invested heavily in the Baku oil fields of modern Azerbaijan. As a partner in the highly-lucrative Royal Dutch Shell trust, Rothschild dominated oil transport from Baku fields to Europe. Estimates say between 42% [5] and 36% [6] of oil exports were Rothschild-controlled, more than twice the amount of the next-largest competitor, the Nobel Brothers. These oil exports were the lifeblood of the British Empire.

In 1917 Alfonse's British brother Lord Walter Rothschild played a crucial role in securing the Balfour Declaration from the cash-strapped Brits, and created the state of Israel.

Israel's fathers had hopes that their new state would be blessed with viable oil deposits. Over the past 60 years, at least 470 oil wells have been drilled in the tiny country[7] -- which have resulted in very little production. This was a big disappointment to everyone involved, considering Israel's location.

However, one doesn't need to have oil to make money from oil. Israel sits between the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea and the last great oil producing regions on earth. The Jewish state connects the biggest producers and the biggest consumers.

Israel was first considered as a major distributor in the 1950s, with the building of the Trans-Arabian Pipeline (Tapline). Originally, Haifa was chosen to be the western-end terminal. However, Israeli extremists' conflict with the British Mandate resulted in the Tapline being rerouted to Sidon, Lebanon -- via the Golan Heights.[8]

According to the US Energy Information Administration, the only reason that the US doesn't use Israel to transport oil is the danger of disruption from Palestinian unrest.[9] Perle also recognizes that destabilizing factor in “A Clean Break” and suggests breaking the Palestinians through “hot pursuit,” dismantling Palestinian representation in Jerusalem, and securing Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.

The US government has been wholehearted in its support for these tactics. Bush began moving the US embassy to Jerusalem in December 2006,[10] and extended the “International Emergency Economic Powers Act” another year.[11] This act prohibits anyone under US jurisdiction from contributing to organizations Bush deems “terrorist” -- including the democratically-elected Hamas government in Palestine.

The Neocons hope that soon oil pipelines will flow through Israel, unmolested.
What the pipe will look like

"The vast expanses of the former Soviet Union harbor oil and gas riches which will be crucial in fueling the global economy in the next century. The huge oil reserves, estimated at over 25 billion barrels, under the Caspian Sea and in the Central Asian republics of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are similar to those in Kuwait and larger than those in Alaska's Northern Slope and the North Sea combined. Control over these energy resources and export routes out of the Eurasian hinterland is quickly becoming one of the central issues in post-Cold War politics.” "The New 'Great Game': Oil Politics in the Caucasus and Central Asia," by Ariel Cohen, The Heritage Foundation 25th January 1996.
This Century's Oil Basket.

Currently, the United State's best access to Caspian oil is through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC pipeline), which runs through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Its opening gave Turkey's geopolitical standing a huge boost (especially in the Middle East), as well as significant income. Israel has had rocky relations with Turkey -- relations that the Jewish State has tried to warm to secure plans for a pipeline from Ceyhan to the Mediterranean port of Ashkelon.[12] The BTC pipeline also forces the United States to take Turkey's opinions seriously.

All indications point to more “hydrocarbon power” for Turkey in the future: Russia has expressed interest in piping gas through Turkey.[13]

Turkish “hydrocarbon power” makes Israel and the US nervous. Turkey is an unsteady ally for Israel and America, as shown by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's hosting of a Hamas delegation in February 2006. American and Israeli support for Kurds on the Turkish boarder adds to the strain. On top of that, US military planners are worried about “defending” the BTC pipeline -- something that will only get harder if Turkey's power increases and the country gravitates outside of US control.[14]

It makes sense for the US to want an oil tap it knows is reliable. Israel fits that description nicely: it has ports on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, has established military contacts with the USA and would provide a shorter pipe route for Iraqi and Middle Eastern oil than Turkey.
BTC- the Israeli version

Israel and the US intend to seize pipe routes that are being planned across Southwestern Asia.
Planned Pipe Routes -- Approximate Paths

In the past year, Syria, Iraq and Iran have proposed rehabilitating old pipelines and creating new pipelines to transport oil between each other. According to their plans, one pipe would start in Iran, stretch across Iraq and end on the Mediterranean Sea in Syria. The Iraqis and Syrians are talking separately of a pipe from Kirkuk to Syria. The two lines could be connected or expanded eastward along Iran's boarders to take oil from the Caspian Sea or Central Asian producers. This plan was first made public in October 2000, but was stymied by US involvement in Iraq.[15]

Originally, the US was dead-set against the Kirkuk-Syria pipe.[16] Now that America controls Iraq, the US wants to build that pipeline.[17] The Americans are very quiet about the new plans for the Syria-Iranian pipe -- presumably Syria and Iran are confident the Iraqi government will comply.[18] America is waiting to make its move until after these pipes are completed.

In “A Clean Break,” Perle states that Syria, Hezbollah (Lebanon) and Iran are a “challenge” to Israel. By looking at the proposed pipelines, we begin to understand the nature of that challenge. Syria, Lebanon and Iran chose routes that terminate too far north for Israel to benefit.

Syria, Iran and Lebanon are the pieces of the oil puzzle that America has not yet taken. Israel's disastrous incursion into Lebanon, as well as Bush's warmongering against Syria and Iran suggest the US will try to complete the puzzle. Once the US controls these three countries, it can begin shipping crude out of Israel's ports in Eilat and Ashkelon (the terminals of the Trans-Israel Pipeline, Tipline). Using the Tipline will give the oil alternate departure points, should one of the Mediterranean or Red Sea routes become unstable. Aside form US interests, the Eilat port allows Israel to service Far Eastern markets as well.
What other choices does America have?

The reason that this political and military maneuvering is necessary, is because the US does not want to deal with Russia for oil. Despite brief hopes for cooperation after the September 11th attacks, the US government has made it clear that it doesn't see Putin as a partner, and the US media has consistently painted Russia as a racist, undemocratic state.

In reality, the US government doesn't want to pay Russia for oil because Russia is a threat to its dominance. American foreign policy has aimed to undermine Russia's economy and sovereignty: through corrupt privatization programs and encouraging sham-revolutions along Russia's boarders. Putin has also shown some reluctance to cooperate with international financial elites -- perhaps his chief sin.

Whether it is in the American people's interest or not, the US government will avoid dealing with Russia for oil.
Out of the frying pan, into the fire

Will securing pipelines through Israel help secure oil for America's needs? Only if the US could do this without spreading even more anger throughout Southwest Asia. Turkey would be foolish to continue cooperating with the US after it invades Syria and Iran -- Turkey's pipe is next on the list.

Securing oil through Israel means that the US becomes dependent on Israel -- our only “friend” in a hostile world. Israel would control the tap to the American economy -- a tap that America paid to build. Not only would Tel Aviv be our crucial supplier, they would have other markets in Asia should Uncle Sam go bust. A great plan for securing the realm, a terrible plan for America.

The war in Lebanon and the struggle for oil!

The war in Lebanon and the struggle for oil!

The oil pipe line from Baku to Tiphlis to Jeyhan which connects the Caspian sea to the east Mediterranean sea was inaugurated on July/13 in the beginning of the bombardment of the Lebanon by Israel without attracting the public opinion.
A day before the Israeli air attack the main share holders of the Baku-Tiphlis-Jeyhan oil pipe line along with the heads of different countries and the directors of oil companies got together in Jeyhan port. Then they gathered for a party after the inauguration ceremonies hosted by Ahmed Nejad Sezer in the velvet covered palace of siravan, The high Ranking officials of great Britain, America and Israel were with them too. The Baku-Tiphlis-Jeyhan consortium is led by BP and the Main western share holders include Chevron, Conoco, Philips the French Total and the Italian I N I. The Israeli minister of energy and infrastructure Benjamin Binelyazeriyeh along with the Israeli High Ranking delegation were present in the ceremony.
This pipe line ultimately passes through the lands of the Russian Federation. This pipeline also passes through the territory of the two EX soviet Republics, Azerbaijan and Georgia which are now under the American control and have close military ties with the USA and NATO. In addition to this these two countries have a stable military mutual participation with Israel. In 2005 the Georgian companies received $24 millions from the financial source of foreign military contracts of America military aids to Israel under the title of the so called "the foreign military Capital investment program." Israel has a share of Azerbaijan oil fields from which she secures %20 of her needed oil. The inauguration of the pipe line will increase the share of the Israeli oil export from the Caspian sea oil fields. But there is another important question which is directly dependent to the Lebanese war. Parallel to the Russian retreat Israel has moved in protecting the east Mediterranean sea and the oil corridor that is getting out of Jeyhan.
Militarization of the East Mediterranean Sea!
The Bombardment of Lebanon is a part of a skilful program and a military path map.
The expansion of war to Syria and Iran was considered before hand by the America and the Israeli military planners. This expanded military agenda is directly related to strategic protection of oil and oil corridor. In the field of war with Lebanon Israel is after the territorial control on the eastern Mediterranean shore lines. The domination of Bp on the Baku Jeyhan pipe line amid this has changed the Geo politics of eastern Mediterranean region drastically and at the present is connected to the Caspian sea oil field by the energy corridor. The Baku Jeyhan pipe line has changed the situation of the region's countries considerably and has pushed them toward more dependence to the west. With this Pipe line to the Mediterranean sea the USA has Practically declared the new bloc of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Israel. (Coumerzant Moscow July/14/2006) at the present Israel is a part of the military Alliance Anglo American which serves the interests of oil giants in the middle east and the central Asia. The official reports declare that this pipe line will send the oil to western markets while what is rarely approved is that a part of Caspian sea oil must be sent to Israel. In this connection the under water pipe line project of Israel – Turkey has been designed which can connect Jeyhan to the Israeli port of Ashkelon and by the main Israeli pipe line system could be connected to the red sea. The goal of Israel is not only obtaining the Caspian sea oil for her energy consumption but her aim is also to have a key role behind the Caspian sea oil for exportation once again of the oil to the Asian country's Markets through the Ilat port in the red sea. The strategic reasons for this course selection for the transfer of the Caspian sea oil are very expanded. In April/2006 Israel and Turkey declared the plan to construct 4 under sea pipe lines which can pass through the Lebanese and the Syrian Lands. Turkey and Israel will talk about constructing Several billions of Dollars worth of water and energy project which will transfer water, electricity, oil and gas by pipe lines to Israel. In this project the oil will be transferred to far east beyond Israel.
The new plans in the Turkey ,Israel talks can send water, electricity, gas and oil by 4 under water pipe lines to Israel. The Baku oil can be transferred to Ashkelon by this new pipe line and from there by the red sea to India and far east. Jeyhan and eshkelon ports are only 400 KM a part from each other. The oil can be transferred by tankers or by the under water pipe line to the city.
The oil can also be pumped to the Ilat port in the red sea by the already existing pipe line from Ashkelon and from there it could be carried to India and other Asian countries by tankers.
Water for Israel!
In the construction project of the pipe line another pipe line for the transfer of water from the Dajleh and Fur ate
Rivers in Anatoly to Israel is reviewed. This has been the strategic goal of Israel which is a long term goal in order to stay immune from the Syrian and the Iraqi dangers, the Israeli agenda has been supported by the military pact between Tel Aviv and Ankara having in mind the water question.
Determining the root of Mid Asian oil!
The transfer of oil and the Mid Asian gas to the eastern Mediterranean sea ( under the Israeli military protection for exportation to Asia is for destroying the Asian energy Market and that is based on the expansion of the direct pipe line corridor that connects the Mid Asia and Russia to south Asia and China and Also the far east. The final aim of this plan is to weaken the role of Russia in Mid Asia and cut the hands of Chinese from the Asian oil resources.
This plan also intends to isolate Iran.
Amid this Israel appears as the powerful actor of the global energy Market.

War and the pipe line!
Before the bombardment of Lebanon, Israel and turkey have declared the course of the under water pipe line which passes through Syria and Lebanon. The construction of this under water Pipe Line is not an open violation of Lebanese and Syrian territorial integrity but in a word the development of the stationing place of the Pipe line corridors ( For oil and water) from Amid Lebanon and Syria could mean the necessarily territorial observance of Israel and Turkey on east Mediterranean sea shores including Lebanon and Syria. To execute this plan needs the militarization of the east Mediterranean sea shores, water roots and land roads in an expanse from the Jeyhan port to all over Syria and Lebanon to the borders of Lebanon and Israel. Is it not one of the hidden aims of war against Lebanon? To open a space that makes Israel able to control a vast land from the borders of Lebanon and Syria to turkey.
The long war!
Ihod olmert the Israeli prime minister has said that the Israeli aggression against Lebanon may continue for a long time. Meanwhile America has made the transfer of weapons to Israel faster. There are strategic goals hidden behind the long war which are tied with oil and the oil pipe line. The air operation against Lebanon is related to the US , Israeli strategic goals in the borders of the middle east including to Syria and Iran in an undeniable way. In this critical situation the Israeli accumulation of the American weapons is expressive of the expansion of the battle field both within and out side of the Lebanese borders!

Right. So, Israel doesn't control any oil fields, but would like to have a pipeline some day.
