If it was about the money - an extra $500 or $1,000 a year is just that - EXTRA. With all the other extra taxes, price increases and increased costs of living; coupled with skyrocketing unemployment it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. And those of us lucky enough to still have a job - we all know the pathetic wage rises we see from time to time are insults when compared to the increases in costs of living.

But then wage increases are decided by the same idiots that dream about this new health system. Might sound great for politicians with tax payer funded houses, cars and health - but just proves that our politicians are far to removed from the reality of life to be making any kind of financial decisions on our behalf.

And to those that say - "It will never happen" - I bet you were saying the same thing when laws were made that allow our governments to spy on us. When will you realize that tptb do what they like, whether it's lawful or not, because in the end there is nothing the people can really do about it.

Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.
