I came to the same conclusion regarding Gog/Magog references, but with regards to the Russians and Georgians announcing that they will open the Georgia Military Road Checkpoint (Gog/Magog Road) in March.

The only response I got was a B.S. Flag.

if I remember correctly, Jordan is not mentioned in the Gog-Magog war but are mentioned later on as participating in Armageddon. I don't know why the obvious nations such as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt don't participate in the Gog war but it could be because of a fulfillment of prophecies in Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 that take them out of commission first

in his book "epicenter", joel rosenberg predicted this would likely happen. he included some "future headlines" he believed would be in the news, and "israel discovers massive reserves of oil, gas" was one of them.

he is not a prophet, but merely hypothesizes how events could play out based upon the ezekiel chapter 38 description of the gog-magog war. he has been right numerous times - again, not proving he is a prophet, but that the bible is authentic.

Rosenberg said of his book Epicenter and the ten headlines you will see soon, that "Massive Oil reserves are discovered by Givat Olam drilling at the Megged 4" and they DID find massive reserves at the Megged 5! Exactly where they thought it would be, according to the guy who began the Oil company, who was drilling there based on biblical prophecy, I read. Amazing!

Most people have been led to believe that the 7 angels with the 7 trumpets in the Apocalypse (Revelation) are going to appear, in the distant future, at the end of time and blow their trumpets.

WRONG!

The 7 angels are 7 time periods and the first 5 have already gone, with the 6th. (Rev. 9 v 12) IMMINENT and the 7th. being the LAST, for most of mankind.

Wherever there is oil and gas to be found in the early 21st century, warfare is never far away. And as the smoke clears from Israel’s blitz of the Gaza Strip, and Hamas and Israel move towards a ceasefire, it is tempting to speculate whether Gaza is another "resource war", as the British government's former scientific advisor David King candidly described the Iraq invasion this week.

When Israel disengaged from Gaza in 2005, the pro-Israel columnist Thomas Friedman declared that its population had the opportunity to become a "Dubai on the Mediterranean".

At the time this aspiration appeared unlikely in a densely populated strip of land with few natural resources, whose connections to the outside world were severely circumscribed by Israel’s continued control over its borders.

But Friedman's hypothesis was not quite as fantastic as it seemed. In 1999 the BG Group (the multinational arm of British Gas) discovered huge deposits of gas off the coast of Gaza. They were valued at £2 billion.

Some 60 per cent of these reserves were located within the maritime waters controlled by the Palestine National Authority (PNA), while the remainder fell under Israeli jurisdiction. In theory these deposits provided sufficient to meet the energy requirements of Gaza and the West Bank combined, with large reserves left over for export.

To the Palestinians, these sensational discoveries offered a potential route to economic regeneration after decades of dependency on external aid. In 2000, Yasser Arafat negotiated a deal with BG which allowed gas to be sold directly to Israel, with 40 per cent of the revenues going to the Palestinians - made up of 10 per cent to the Palestine Investment Fund and another 30 per cent to an Athens-based Palestinian construction company.

Following the outbreak of the second Intifada in 2000, the Ariel Sharon government vetoed this arrangement, claiming that the gas revenues would be used to finance "terror attacks" on its citizens. These concerns may have concealed more selfish motives.

nope. belongs to God who gave it to the Jews long about 2000BC. With Genesis 15:18 and Joshua 1:4 in mind, the land God gave to Israel included everything from the Nile river in Egypt to Lebanon (North to South) and everything from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River (West to East). So, what land has God stated belongs to Israel? All of the land modern Israel currently possesses, plus all of the land of the Palestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus some of Egypt and Syria, plus all of Jordan, plus some of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Israel currently possesses only a fraction of the land God has promised.
BTW, God gave the local tribes their OWN land, too. They just didn't stay there, they stole it, remember, long about 1999BC

I do believe the Gog-Magog war is coming soon, but Israel must make have a substancial agreement for peace with the 10 nation final beast empire first. Things could happen very quickly next year if/when Israel tries to take out Iran's nuclear sites. I'm still waiting and watching for the 7 year (broken at 3 1/2) covenant of peace.
