We've lived in this house now for almost 9 yrs. The backyard faces west and we are high in the canyons. The Sun has never been this south, ever. I had to strain my neck and head to see any kind of a sunset which is a first. It is more south, then a true southwest.

The sun is setting in the west just fine here where I am.

Maybe you have a different sun.

Gotta love it.

I personally don't pay that much attention to where the sun sets, so they could pull one over on me. But it seems appropriately south for this time of year to me.
