Now I'm not a big fan of Pat Roberson, but did you notice the "Disaster Relief Fund" banner with phone number for donations at the bottom of the screen? They are trying to help. He wasn't damning them, just stating his belief of why they are the poorest most diseased nation on this side of the planet. Whether you believe his story of a deal with the devil or not is up to you, but he was trying to explain the bizarre dichotomy of an island that has a prosperous nation on one side and an absolutely impoverished nation on the other.

Well it can be shown that the Haitian Rebellion coincided with the French Revolution and the murder of the French Royal family, so I think this is likely the case.

If 'Jesus died for mans' sins', as taught by fundamentalist Christianity, and Pat Robertson is correct, then it appears that Jesus' mission was totally in vain in accomplishing that feat.

Remember, there is only one sin that cannot be forgiven - blasphemy of the Holy Spirit - meaning: arrogant disregard for one's teacher and what the teacher teaches. And, maybe, the Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) is/was starting out God's Children in Haiti with the kindergarten curriculum of 'make-believe', a level that all humanity is either still in, or is barely out of in their spiritual education.
