I AM MEEK AND HUMBLE OF HEART

Good morning Blessings to all.
I am always attempting to be humble it is difficult at times as I catch myself often displaying pride but I am always learning...

It is a constant battle for everyone. I'm glad to hear you are fighting the good fight [to keep the ego in check] !!!

For me, being humble is putting God first and others around me 2nd. I put myself last on that list. Jesus already knows my needs, so I keep those between Him and me and don't mention them, even in Prayer. There are many people around us that need Prayers, just about everyone.

Sometimes Ed its difficult to discern what is Godly and what isnt and who is and who isnt..at least for me

It's Jesus he's talking about, not the poster.

Who is and who is not can be real difficult because we all make mistakes. Yeah.... it seems like it all takes discernment except if one of the 10 commandments is clearly violated.... That should be much easier to discern.

Guess sometimes we expect to find among Christians more who are truly Christ like..too many are good are worshipping Ed..but when it comes to being known by how we love others ..as Christ asked us too.. they fall short

sin is always at the door ready to rear its ugly head.

So True..He was..is perfect..He never failed..never once did He do one singlething wrong..or say something He shouldnt..or hurt someone..He Loved..



He didnt care about Himself..He put others first

He didnt want to be served..He served

When He had His feet washed..to prove that He was not above others..He in turn washed the others feet

He returned hate with Love

If more wouldimitate Himit would be a different world

If the Gospels were read and applied..it would be different

Too much worshipping Ed..too much pretence..

There needs to be more real love, compassion and empathy

Yes, He is the Holy One sent to redeem us from our sins.

Too much worshiping of self and all the 'things' we want.

God is NOT in a church or building..God is in others

God is NOT in selfcentredness..it is in service to others

God is NOT in seeking ones happiness but in making others happy..

where are they Ed..the true Christians?

Indeed..unless the things we want are for the Glory of God and for His Kingdom

Unless we have to eat humble pie to try to achieve these things for the Glory of God and for His Kingdom

Only God truly knows who is born again and who is not.

Who is filled with the Spirit and who is not.

Who truly loves Love and who really does not.

But where are they?

I sometimes can percieve peoples hearts..Im sure you can too

Ive met so many Christians..sure..most are ok..but true Christians as in imitators of Christ? where are they?
Im not one I guess..but I honestly dont think I know any personally..as in person to person..

I know so many that worship to perfection..pray daily..quote scriptures etc..but their hearts? their love? their empathy? compassion?

To behave as Christ taught us and to do it out of love and not fear..out of service to Him and to please Him and not out of self service seeking eternal reward

yes, i know what you mean. Was it Augustine who said "love and do what you will." In other words, if love is your motive then you will not transgress against God or others.

Ilike that and understand that..very much :) expect of course love of self..and if no hurt is caused to innocent others

Sometimes its a curse to be able to read other peoples hearts :) because nothing is hidden..you see their pain and sorrow..but you also see their faults and errors..deceits and half truths

yet who is without sin cast the first stone

so I guess one should find solace in collective mediocrity?

The underlined part did make me chuckle a bit. Following Jesus Christ wholeheartedly is just not an easy thing. We stumble every day. The hearty soul continues to get back up and continues the journey.

I guess the key is to be humble and meek of heart

to not let the light inside go out

because ultimately one is who one is..the power is within and independent of external circunstances

the light must not depend on external fuel but only on Divine one

to not allow the shadows ones sees extinguish the light within

because the Kingdom is within

Yes, the light must come from God [Jesus Christ] and

is God [the Holy Spirit]... the source, strength, and

inspiration of all our goodness.

to close ones eyes and not fret..but to walk through the darkness of doubt knowing that He guides us

to rejoice in the knowledge of Self..that is One with God

and above human frailties and weaknesses

to understand that many may not even see the light and probably that is to teach the Self humility

But what will happen to a world that has lost its soul?
