The last pole shift was most likely 25,623 years ago, or even further back. Many bible scholars believe, however, that there was a slight pole shift during a battle against the heathen, where Joshua asked for more daylight. However, the sun was said there to stop in its place, not change in its direction. So it refers to the planet's crust being slowed down, or an angel standing in for the sun. I don't think the earth just stopped, I can't imagine there would be anyone left alive after such an event. |

A very good point.It shows you can have crustal drift and polar shift and still be able to navigate by the stars using the old charts.And yes the sun IS rising in the SSE and setting DUE WEST!!!!!(these days at least!)......... In Peleg’s days c. 2669-2436 B.C. the earth was divided (Gen 10:25). In Noah’s days c. 3200 B.C. the Flood of Noah (Gen 7:17-8:14). All of these events occurred after the construction of Nabta Playa in 6,500 BC. How could it Nabta Playa and the other sites reorientate itself after these events?
