cornucopia (OP) User ID: 1068506 United States 01/21/2011 10:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this just needs it's own thread....feel free to create one about it:) Most Americans are Delusional About Healthy Eating In a recent poll of more than 1,200 American adults, close to 90 percent said their diet was either "somewhat," "very," or "extremely" healthy. However, 43 percent of the survey respondents said they drank at least one sugary soda or sweetened drink every day. A third also said they were at a healthy weight when they actually were overweight or obese. Physorg reports: "When they were asked why they didn't eat [the recommended amount of] vegetables, the most common reason given ... was that they thought they consumed enough already. The next most commonly cited reason ... was that they are hard to store ... Seventeen percent said someone in their household didn't like vegetables, the same number said vegetables take too long to prepare ... and 14 percent said fresh vegetables are too expensive. Thirteen percent said, quite simply, they don't like vegetables." ~*i love you*~ |

I am sure that people with brains can make good healthy choices, any one that eats this manufactured chi-less cardboard rubbish or feeds it too their kids must be a bit thick..its not rocket science is it. Sorry to sound a bit harsh but it really pisses me off to see so called intelligent people banging on about how much they love their family only to see them feeding poisons to them....doh wtf! I am sure if there was a survey done I would be right its just the thick people that eat this crap...it is round here anyway just go to the school and see the mums with the fat kids its always the stupid ones. Not a rich/ poor/culture thing either ...just lack of brains If any one here can tell me otherwise with another theory please enlighten me but its the best reason I can come up with why people eat shit and feed it to kids |
Ricfly52 User ID: 1239821 United States 01/22/2011 08:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some do but not all. It comes from family training. My parents taught me to eat home made everything. My wife was taught the same thing. We taught our kids the same. If you are taught that supper is a big mac and fries, that is what you know. You most likley will pass that on down to your children. Now I dunno, but some where along the line, people got lazy and didn't pass good eating down to their kids. Because I doubt there were any fast food joints prior to about 1920 or so. Somebody just got lazy. That is all. Fishing and skiing keeps me a little sane. |
