I remember years ago I lived in Chicago... They had a very large airshow right over the city and it sounded like that for hours on end...

Doing a quick Google Map search of the Palm Coast, it's obvious there is an Airbase (Patrick Airbase) close to where the reports came from... Can't zoom in on it because Google obviously prevents for national security reasons.

I see the "plugin" words but there's nothing to click on.
It sounded like distant thunder but it kept on and on. talked with my sister while we listened to it. She is farther north.
No caves near me that we know about. No sinkholes in this area ( yet).

Could be new underground construction.

Lived here since 1957. Seen or heard everything that went up or came in from PAFB ( which is about 30 minutes northeast.) It wasn't a sound from anything I've ever heard before- and it lasted 40 minutes...

Umm, this is well documented in many Govt and educational papers...

Basically, in a uncontrolled leak, you end up creating such a huge pocket that the weight of the water collapses the seafloor and can produce a extinction level methane release...

Catastrophic Methane Hydrate Release Mitigation

Another possibility is drilling and other activities related to exploration and recovery of methane hydrates as an energy resource. The hydrates tend to occur in the pores of sediment and help to bind it together. Attempting to remove the hydrates may cause the sediment to collapse and release the hydrates. So, it may not take thousands of years to warm the ocean and the sediments enough to cause massive releases, only lots of drilling rigs.

Returning to the 4 GtC release scenario, assume such a release occurs over a one-year period sometime in the next 50 years as result of slope failure. According to the Report of the Methane Hydrate Advisory Committee, “Catastrophic slope failure appears to be necessary to release a sufficiently large quantity of methane rapidly enough to be transported to the atmosphere without significant oxidation or
dissolution.”

For point of reference, the average temperature of the Earth (atmosphere, land and top layer of the ocean) in 2004 is around 60°F. The methane hydrate release projected here would raise the temperature to around 90°F or more. Such high temperatures would undoubtedly destabilize all of the other methane hydrates in the ocean and arctic permafrost, some 10,000 GtC or 620,000 GtC equivalent as
carbon dioxide. This would have the impact of 78,000 years worth of GHG warming over a few decades. The temperatures reached and sustained would most likely cause a rapid die off in ocean phytoplankton and other sea life as well as most land plants and animals, including humans. The result would be a mass extinction and
mark a major transition point in the Earth’s geological history.

I don't have a clue what's connected to what...but I do know one thing though, "something's" coming and it ain't anything nice. And, there won't be anywhere to run to, nowhere to hide, but Florida won't fair well in whatever it is that coming.

has noise like this ever been documented before a major earthquake?

Interesting. I was warned about this some years ago. Not EQ, not war, but the ELE was rumored to be a lowering of the jet stream, 200 mile-an-hour-winds strafing the land. I was told it was a huge secret that would not be known til the end was here.

I find this very strange - I know sonic booms from aircraft as few tornados have streaked overhead hear on the Irish sea on training missions but sounds - Well weird.

IIf you saw the comments on the Youtube post of this video (the one with the sound in FL), the woman filming states that this was NOT on 3/19, but earlier (like 3/3 or 3/8) in Tallahassee, FL, not the east cost of FL where the wide range of reports came from on 3/19! What you are hearing is not what people were describing yesterday as in the news clip! When she calls 911 in the video, she states what road she lives on in Tallahassee, it's Walnut Grove Ln. Google Maps "Walnut Grove Ln. Tallahassee. Look at the areal photo. The road is not very big so scroll out and around a little bit. THEY ARE VERY CLOSE TO THE TALLAHASSEE AIRPORT. There is really nothing else in the area the area that would look suspicious. Sounds like a jet engine running for some time while on the ground to me. It was probably just shut off (not taking off), so it just stops. I do admit the flash of light is strange, but maybe they cut the engines seeing a large lightning strike in the area, especially since there were already light flashes earlier in the video (off to the left of the picture), so those flashes at the end of the video were not the only flashes. Usually the simplest answer is the real answer. Look for yourselves. HOWEVER THAT BEING SAID:

DON'T MISTAKE THE TWO VIDEOS! The other wide scale events on the east coast of FL with earthquake type effects, NOW THAT IS SOMETHING UNUSUAL!!

I watched the jet stream map. I live in the northeast and have heard this sound many times in the last two months, just not to the extreme of 20 to 40 minutes. Watching the jet stream over my area, I could say that the sound could be connected.

So, maybe pole shift and magnetic disturbances could cause this?

In Florida, there is a new huge oil slick. So maybe.....magnetic disturbance--> more oil spilled in the Gulf --> disturbance in jet stream or dropping of jet stream--> strange noise lasting for a long period of time? Add the super moon to this pulling at the earth as well?
