the Doppler Effect, the spirals, and Nibiru

I put the thread together so people can view the information what I think explains the phenomenon.
It's self explanitory.

Blue Shift DOES NOT mean something turns blue, it means something turns blue-ER.

For all we know an phenomenon that appears blue might be something normally only visible in ultraviolet moving away at a speed high enough to REDSHIFT its colour down to blue.

The fact is, that to get the supposed blue shift that you are talking about, the imaginary "Nibiru" would have to be moving at almost half the speed of light. It would be much faster than the escape velocity of the solar system. It just wouldn't be possible for a planet, or brown dwarf, or whatever you claim it is, on a 3,600 year orbit.

I mean...you yourself just wrote in an earlier post that YOU'RE on a sort of mission as well. You told me you have info regarding "what's about to happen" and asked me if I was armed with the kind of knowledge you are, what would I do? Sounds like a "mission" to me.

Ironically, your "mission" is the inverse" of my "Mission". Whenever "Nibiru"-enthusiasts ask me why I work the way I do to debunk I say:

I know about astronomy.

I've educated myself on it.

When I see things I know are blatantly FACTUALLY inaccurate I speak up. Because I know it's wrong. And the fact is most people don't know a lot about astronomy.

Not because they're "dumb". It's just...something people only get interested in IF they're interested in it. Most people don't know the difference between an emission nebula and a reflection nebula.

SO, after reading many posts where people were writing about how worried and panicked they felt about "Nibiru", and seeing the misinformation they were reacting to and KNOWING (because astronomy's a hobby of mine) the info was/is WRONG...I decided, whenever I could, I would check out "Nibiru"-claims.

And I decided that anything that was inaccurate I would speak up about. And so that's what I do. Everything I write is easily verfiable. This isn't FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE.

Because, again, people have ENOUGH to worry about.

What is your problem ? I clearly stated NUMEROUS times that I will not argue or even debate this time around.

Now, if you are soooooooooo interested in the speed that this object is coming towards us, why dont you go do it yourself ?

A perfect example would be to go watch a video of the Norway spiral, due to the fact the spiral rings are a lot clearer.

You can calculate the radial velocity by examining the secular change in the parallax. Now, if an object has a significant radial velocity, the light emitted WILL show the doppler effect. In this case, the object we are speaking of is of GREAT size. By calculating the radial velocity, you will come closer to the answer of your question.

And, if you go to the link of the video of the Australian spiral and watch the first couple minutes in full screen, you will see a perfect example of the blue shift.

Don't think that you are dealing with a fool here. I choose not to use my knowledge as a tool or weapon as you seem to be doing.

You seem to understand that blue shift is a function of velocity, but you appear to have no idea how high of velocity that it would take to cause the shift you are talking about.

You have provided nothing to support your theories other than claiming "blue shift!" Do the damn math. Just because you use terms like "blue shift" and post to links about Doppler Shift and post poor quality videos, it doesn't make you informed.
