Persia and Babylon didn't have a 'gay culture'. While it happened, it didn't happen as often or as openly as Greek and Roman's did it.

Rome was gay BEFORE Christianity and that moral standard. In less than 100 years of Adopting Christianity, Rome was gone.

Rome also worshipped many gods and goddesses for a thousand years, it stood strong, grew and came to be the world empire.

When it adopted "God" and gave up its multitude of gods and goddesses it fell.
