Anonymous Coward User ID: 1491347 United States 08/05/2011 10:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | definitely looks like the calm before the storm. Solar wind is extremely steady.. Quoting: Nacht im Waldewe get LONG days of STEADY without any doom. I have made the discovery from watching over long periods for years now, this is not a predictor of incoming storms. What IS on ACE right now. [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] Not yet interesting. and remember just because Nasa says a CME left at high speed doesn't mean it will reach earth at the same speed, in fact likely it will not. Start a ball rolling at high speed, what happens? it slows down. I have seen supposedly big fast CME's stop in their tracts and never arrive at all. That is why we will wait and see. |

CME's are rarely a hit of a couple hours. The last sometimes a couple days before they are done. CME's spread out into a large cloud. |
