Anonymous Coward User ID: 1587318 United Kingdom 09/21/2011 12:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What's with the thread plagiarism? Somebody starts a thread with all of the pertinent info, it runs it's course - then almost immediately someone else starts the exact same thread and somehow that manages to get pinned. WTF? Recent examples; the 'something's up on the 27th' threads, the 'I called the Denver Hotels' threads and most recently the 'John Cusack's watch in 2012' spate of copy cats. Quoting: Bugsy Moran What the F? Ground Hog Day-tastic |

Quoting: Bugsy Moran What the F? Agreed, I've noticed the same over the last month or so. So blatant, they're taking info and exact words from the original author which they themselves wrote. Also seeing people taking 2-3 threads and combining them into one as predictions which is also very obvious shilling techniques to throw others off of their agenda. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1529571 United States 09/21/2011 12:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is not a new trend. Unfortunately, either the original threads go unnoticed, or because there are multiple threads on the same subject, it may just be a pick and choose event. It's happened to me in the past. I dont post new threads anymore, I just reply to threads. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1559213 My notice was people straight out taking others words from posts to make their own. Maybe that's thread subject worthy Exactly. Hence why I did the same thing =P |
