Help. Anyone know anything about alternative Hep C treatments.
I just got off the phone with my little sister who has hepatitis C. She just got her blood work back and they want her to start interferon treatment in January. She is really scared it is going to knock her out of commission for a few months. Does anyone have any experience or know anything about this treatment or any natural alternatives? If I could help arm her with info it will be the best Christmas gift I could give her. Thanks in advance.

Peginterferon and ribavirin tablets - there is no other cure other then not drinking and avoid all tylenol based products. Ive been looking for years and interferon is the only chance at a cure.

You need to find a doctor that is willing to hospitalise her and put her on an intravenuos drip of Mega Vit C.
Get onto the net and see where you can find a doctor who will do it.
From memory I think it takes from 3-5 days to cure using this method but the amount given is critical to success.

I had it years ago. I started a holistic diet. Plenty of green leafy veges, minimal meat, milk thislte, turmeric, and lots of water. It disapeared about 12 months later.

Check out a liver cleansing diet. Plenty on the net.

YES! The cure to virtually all diseases repressed by the medical industry for over a hundred years. Cheap and inexpensive. Cured dozens of AIDS victims cancer, bacteria, viruses, fungus- OXYGEN THERAPY. Go to Amazon (or wherever) buy "The One-Minute Cure: The Secret to Healing Virtually All Diseases" by Madison Cavanaugh Chapter 4 will tell you the specifics of how to administer the 35% FOOD grade (might as well buy it online while you get the book- buy the dropper separately so it does not leak during shipping), and once you've read it you will have a treatment for virtually pennies a day. The cheaper alternative to getting in a hyperbaric chamber, or ozone treatments (which are also an option, and the book tells you where to find a list of professionals should you choose that delivery system instead of self administering the drops in water). Not for organ recipients as it boosts immune functioning and poses a potential threat at making the body reject the foreign entity. Fudge on big PHARMA that wants to get rich on keeping you sick!Goofy Thum

Yes, clean out the liver. See liver flush support forum on curezone.com. Then use healthy diet, vit c, milk thistle etc. Must clean gunk out of liver before it will heal. Liver can be congested for many reasons, virus lives in that liver congestion. Must clean it out and then support healing with natural methods.

Interferon is best but she needs to prepare herself because it's going to wipe her out. Tell her to ask for an anti-depressant to help her cope.

Who are these idiots saying Interferon is the best treatment?? All those people need to go get another flu shot. Interferon is terrible. Diet and Livaplex from Standard Process will help. Other than that, find a good naturopath or chiropractor.

She should do the Interferon for about 5 yrs until DRACO is available. DRACO developed by MIT scientists kills all viral infection. Animal trials are starting very soon.

Re: Help. Anyone know anything about alternative Hep C treatments.
There is a new drug I took and it cured my disease within a week. The catch was I had to take the interferon and riboflavin therapy for almost a year. The cure rate for this new drug was 100% cure rate for Geno type 2. I had few side effects, and all in all I'd do it again. Geno type 2 is not going to go away with a diet change. This was almost three years ago and They are testing this new medication for much shorter periods of time.

Re: Help. Anyone know anything about alternative Hep C treatments.
Interferon is the standard for Hep C, and you're lucky to receive it. Many alternative treatments as well as other drugs can interact with each other. That is all carefully managed by consulting with experts in pharmacology and based upon their mechanisms of action in pharmacokinetics as well as well pharmacodynamics. It would be very bad to take anything and not tell the medical team. Even a small change could affect the outcome. While I'm a huge proponent of juicing and eating very healthy, it's important to do this by collaborating with the medical team.

An excellent thing to do for any comprehensive medical recovery is to keep a patient journal. In that, you detail every aspect like diet, exercise, medicines, herbs, water, how you feel mentally, etc several times a day. Documenting this, you actively participate with the team in your recovery. Then if there are issues, they have their documents and yours, and maybe it will help them alter anything which is either helping or hurting your recovery. It's common sense, but often the medical team doesn't want the patient to have this additional responsibility.

What the patient eats when within the medical center for treatment is carefully measured. All foods and medicines are eliminated via the liver and kidneys and bowels. They even weigh and measure things like urine parameters, even stool on occasion, in order to determine the overall health of the patient and stress. If you eat anything else, it has to be factored in.

Let's say you took a great tonic like grapefruit seed. Well, that can interact terribly with many many drugs either making them much stronger or weaker. If they didn't know, they would puzzled by your response. No one has the same biochemistry, it's a science called genomics, and because people's liver and kidneys and intestines eliminate in different ways, some drugs work for some, while doing nothing for others. Some day, we'll be able to test a patient's DNA, and then give them the best drug first based upon genomics to improve outcomes since often they are time based, and this will save crucial time and money.

Good luck with what you decide. Please work with the team. The patient's diary is a great pragmatic start.

Re: Help. Anyone know anything about alternative Hep C treatments.
In addition, the best research is usually published at emedicine.com . The latest research is uptodate.com . Both are very peer-reviewed regarding many many data sets and analyzed for mistakes and changes continually. That's really the very best places to get authoritative research on what has been tried, what might be tried, and the latest things that are tried.

It's always good to look at natural alternatives, but those will work best based upon diet, exercise, water, stress, mental attitude, and the amount of caregivers in the family. It's both/and not either/or.

Re: Help. Anyone know anything about alternative Hep C treatments.
trying2bstill, there is no alternative treatment to HepC. Interferon, Ribavirin, and now we have either Telaprevir or Boceprevir to go with the standard Interferon/Ribavirin.

Don't look for an easy way out with an alternative, NOTHING will rid the body of the HepC virus that isn't an antiviral. Not food, not herbs, NOT oxygen (which can be very dangerous), nothing alternative out there that will get rid of the virus.

The standard course of treatment effects everyone differently, most get the side effects from one degree to another, but it's the only way. A couple of months out of one's life is worth getting rid of this virus.

Good luck.

I am using MMS, and have read a lot of great testimonials regarding this disease. I found out 5 months ago, that I have Hep C. The doctors found it during a hospital visit for kidney stones, in which they noticed that my liver was enlarged. The doctor said I'd had it for 20 years. I have no way to get the interferon, the doctor said my blood platelets are too low for it anyway. So, I'm using MMS. And Praying. But, until I have killed the virus, I'm still dying. quickly. If you google: "MMS on an empty stomach" you will be taken to a lot of links to some very good information, and testimonials.
