Hitokiri User ID: 4657115 United States 09/28/2012 08:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Video of a so-called Transportation Security Administration “freeze drill” has been posted online, showing a TSA officer instructing passengers to remain in place at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport before permitting them to leave. Quoting: Philligan The TSA told the New York Times in 2011 that the drills are a training tool for officers to practice quickly shutting down a security checkpoint in the event of a security breach. TSA spokeswoman Kristina Lee said the agency has “wide-ranging legal authority to carry out security-related responsibilities.” And some of you idiots will vote for Obama or write in Pauls name.....(which is a vote for Obama) prolong the NAZI tactics we see here Then I guess the GOP should've picked a better candidate. Anonymous Coward User ID: 342233 Canada 09/28/2012 09:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Uh..this happened to me in late June I was either going to IDAHO or leaving IDAHO. Went through security check point then TSA goon said STOP! One minute later, TSA goon said GO. I would have kept going but the TSA guy was standing right in front of me when he gave the order to STOP and had his hand on my shoulder. Then he said GO and I went. As I proceeded to the gate, I was thinking, "How odd is that???" it was like the TSA dudes were getting some kind of kick from it.... Still don't get the idea of the STOP, GO thing... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19564432 Wow I went through TSA too on my way to Aruba last year and I felt very degraded. Literally felt like I was treated like a child. They searched my gf's bags twice. You americans are fucked. I went through security for a domestic flight in Canada and I walked through the metal detector and nobody was even watching. I wasn't searched, I wasn't detained, I wasn't treated like a criminal monster. Nobody touched me, nobody asked me any questions. What 'Bush-league' airport were you at? Cause all the ones I've been at in Canada are tighter than a frogs ass, which leads me to believe that you are stretching the truth. They confiscate everything in Canada because of 9/11. You can't even bring a small tube of toothpaste on a domestic flight. Grandma almost had the inhaler confiscated cause her name was partially torn off the perscription label. Would have happened if dad didn't know the name of the security manager. My father does security tests at our airport and sneaks knives in his belt, boots, pantlegs as well as pepper sprays and fake devices, and even a magazine in his gotch. (He was told not to rub his thighs together... lol). Only got thru twice out of many attempts over the last couple of years. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 342233 Canada 09/28/2012 09:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | People need to just start revolting en masse. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24202972 When the TSA commands you to freeze, everybody should just say... "fuck you, ya bag-handling douchebag", and then keep walking. If everybody would start doing this, then the tyrannical juggernaut that is bearing down on us would grind to a halt. Then you would have military in the airport policing. Guaranteed, this is what your government WANTS you to do, so there is an excuse for martial law. You are right though. There are Muslim nations all over the world laughing at how they have handcuffed the average 1st world nation by fear. Sad to say, but true. |

Yep degraded. I remember waiting for my flight back to America from Germany and everyone looked miserable. Like, "Do we really have to go back there?" I was shocked when I entered Germany at how friendly the gal was who checked my passport, a total departure from the not so friendly women encountering me at Detroit upon my return to the states. I have chosen not to fly for a few years now and I know a number of people who are making that same decision. |

Top Hat Top Hat User ID: 10235814 United States 09/28/2012 09:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I went through Denver two weeks ago and a black TSA woman became very uncomfortable/irritated when I would not look her in the eyes. Face front. 1,000 yard stare. Jaws set. Indifference. This is one of the signs they watch for, no eye contact. Military bearing. Try it. You're welcome. |
