Friend of mine took a picture of a 10 ft rattle snake eatting a jack rabbit on his property.

That thing, is a rattlesnake? I never thought they got that big.

One day my mom yelled that there was a hog in the street. I looked out the window and saw something big on the street. I grabbed my 12 gauge shot gun and ran out. It was a rattle snake - biggest one I ever saw. Had to be close to 7 or 8 feet long, but super wide. I blew off the head at the neck.

I ran one over at Fort Hood one year On East Range road while driving a HUMVEE and I shit you not that mother fucker stretched across the entire fucking road.

A 10ft rattler is approaching record size though. That is a big fucking snake.

Most are about 3-4' and very few get over 7'

Yeah, i've seen rattlers that stretch across one lane roads- making them like atleast 7 feet long.

I've personally killed and skinned a 7 footer. Mounted it on a piece of barn wood- looked cool as shit...until the mice in my shed tore to shreds.

I also killed a 6 footer by catching it and throwing it in a home depot bucket with a dab of gas. Affixiated it then chunked it into a pillow case and into the freezer.
Skinned it and tanned it few days later. Left the head skin on so it's pretty badass. It's wrapped around the set of blue longhorns above my front door...
