Animals is probably my favorite, next to the Final Cut.

But I never got to see Floyd...a travesty.

I think's it's kind of charming how Waters calls for the extermination of the world's cancer....if you or I did that, we be in jail.

Okay, that's cool. He didn't say anything about The Munkees or The Brady Bunch, though!

[*goes off to find Daydream Believer vids......*]

What about David Hasselhof?

There is that brief moment of magic..

that fascinates spellboundingly sublime...

..and then the magickal candle flickers..

..and thus goes out...

Yeah. I think one has to distance oneself from Waters' politics and causes at times.

His drive is born of his hatred of the Great War, and the death of his father in that. And what led to that war, causing him that paternal-separation-pain.

If you understand that much, you can see where Waters is coming from.

The man is impassioned and driven by his pain. It's where his genius comes from as well.

If Roger Waters KNOWS WHAT CAUSED WWII (Ie, the actual hardcore truth), then you can see the resentment of; and all the what, when, where, and why of his own angst..

I actually understand/understood Roger Waters. Or I DID once understand him. I think he's gone off the deep end now with a few things, though.

Were the Monkees even real musicians (at the time)?

I had heard that they were simply created & put together to ride the Beatles' fad-wave and make money for their label.

At the outset they were props, yes. They tried to gain credibility as musicians later.
