Cookie, I think you both are right. RINO Bush (remember his saying the Constitution "is just a goddamn piece of paper"?) brought in the Patriot Act and Obama is just more of Bush twisted and on steroids with an even bigger dose of totalitarianism thrown in.

Neither of the two parties (R & D) or the two main ideologies (conservative & liberal) are are true to their founding principles anymore because they have been corrupted and largely taken over by the super rich, the elite, oorporations, banksters, etc who are out for themselves and nobody else--just raw power.

There are still decent people on all sides who believe in "Liberty for all" and they are the ones we ought to search for and support, even at this late date.

Actually we have even freeer gun laws here in AZ. License for what? To conceal? To open carry? Lol! Not here. In AZ. You can still simply strap a six gun on your side or under your jacket and theres no need for any illegal licensing. Can't do that in Texas. Can't open carry at all in Texas actually. But I still like Texas. ;)

what i see is there is a large group of people from a certain time period who maybe grew up in cities and never grew up with guns in the home. they have been brain washed to a america different then mine. my suggestion to all you gun lovers whose state is becoming communist is to move to the states with great gun laws if need be.

Presidents are simply talking heads that are funded and run by the elites by and for the elitis agenda. There are no such thing as political parties. This "concept" used to be real, now it is simply to further the "illusion" that there are people working/fighting for the people.

Why am I not surprised?

I respect the US Constitution. The American Revolution took place during an important turning point in Western History. As the Worlds Oldest Democracy, it deserves alot of praise and deference. But I have witnessed the last 60 years of history and cultural decline in this country also.

I defend the right of every responsible citizen to own a firearm. The problem is, as America continues to decline morally, culturally and intellectualy, more and more true idiots are buying high tech weapons. We see the results of this ever spreading stupidity in the daily knews.

What good are restrictions of gun ownership if owners are allowed to keep dangerous weapons in the clothes closet or nightstand. when any criminal or pervert can easily break in and steal them ?

It may be impossible to pass laws against stupidity,it must be possible to force gun owners to act more responsibly. With power comes responsability. For this reason I support the following: Intensive pre-screening for potential gun buyers. Requiring attendance in a training course in the proper use and storage of weapons. Every gun ownner should be required to own a gun safe and use it.

Maybe it is time to station armed Marines or Navy S.E.A.L.S. on every school campus.

It is my contention that as American society continues to decline morally and culturally, we will all be confronted with more and more insane randome shootrings. Question: Is the America of the 21st Century still worthy of the freedoms and rights granted it in its Constitution?

If we can ban Child Porn, we must be able to ban out-of-control sales of high powered weaponry. Are US citizens allowed to own Atomic Warheads ? Are American citizens allowed to own Predetor Drones, or Rocket Artilery ?
