I heard it said the body replaces all its cells constantly, so that over the course of every few months or whatever all your cells change. The old cells die and the new ones replace them.

If that's the case then why do we have scars and burn-marks etc. for life? Why don't they disappear when the old cells die and the new ones are born?

Maybe this is a stupid question but I can't seem to find an answer.

When I was 8 years old I lived in North Africa and burnt my leg on a kerosene heater. I had a triangle scar on my leg for years. I thought I would always have it but it finally disappeared completely when I was around 35 years old.

Huh, that's weird too.

The body is a strange thing, maybe beyond understanding?

Sounds like a good question to me.

Maybe it has something to do with scar tissue being more dense than regular tissue, therefore making it take longer to go away, sometimes never.

The answer to your question would help so many people if they would only listen, but I will tell you.

I'd wondered the same thing myself when I was very young and it led me to a life time of studying how our mind and body work together. Once scientists discovered DNA it became easier to explain, yet most people still don't get it.

What science has proven is that your cells are programmed by your DNA. It determines everything of your physical makeup. You have hit the nail on the head! If this is so then one of two things must be happening.

1: Any accident you suffer must have already been programmed into your DNA and your body responds by making new cells accordingly. This would mean that EVERTHING in your life has been determined before you we're even born and your have no say in it at all.

2: the new cells are being programmed differently than your DNA.

I believe 2 and have proven it time and time again!

Looking for the answer to your question long before anyone knew about DNA led me to study how your mind and thoughts work. Thus I have had a long career as as a professional hypnotist. As such I know that when people focus their thoughts on the desired outcome that is what they create.

In a nutshell when you have an injury most people think about the scar. The "new cells" are now programmed to reflect your thoughts. When people forget the scar and see the injuries area as 'perfect. The new cells are programmed with their original DNA.

If you study it you will find that people with injuries who have the help of a hypnotist to help them focus on being healthy rather than "defective" the total recovery is amazing. It does have to be at the subconscious level where your mind does't know the difference between imagination and reality - in your mind you only see and live the cells being in a perfect state. The mind now programs the new cells according to your belief.

The best part is that no one needs a hypnotist to do it. Sadly most people focus on what is without realizing that by doing so the new cells get programmed to reflect what they focus on. Through doctors into the mix who often tell people that the scar or disease is permanent. If the person believes that to be true then the mind responds accordingly.

In plain English your beliefs and what you focus on becomes your reality. If you can understand this and apply it to your physical body you now have control over your body. Apply it to other areas and you have control of your life!
