Janine69 User ID: 9118925 United States 03/09/2013 05:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Today her and our neighbor Alison were out together and witnessed a bad car accident Quoting: RayGun in Myrtle Beach. My wife is an RN and Alison is a LPN. Both people in the accident were severely injured. One was air evacuated out and the other was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. My wife called me from the scene as the helicopter was taking off to tell me she would be late. Her and Alison saved another lady in November. Thread: My wife may have saved a life today. I once did CPR on a big Hawaiian guy in Hilo. I had gone for coffee and noticed the waitresses all looking out the open door thru pouring rain at a man laying face down in 6 inches of water. As soon as I saw the problem I telles orders to the women !"YOU call 911 NOW"! "You you you come with me!! As I pulled table cloths off tables to make a tent over the man as I did CPR. He had had a heart attack and gashed his head falling face first. Anyway, I was glad my highschool first aid class info had lodged in my memory enough to be useful. I wonder if he was mad I helped bring him back from the tunnel of light. |

It takes courage and you should be very proud that you had it in you to do something while others did nothing. I had some first aid classes that where required to coach hockey. They taught us to do something even if it might not be right. |

The scariest part for me was wondering if his neck might be broken from the fall, as i rolled him on his back and cleared his airway etc. This all happened at night in the heaviest downpour I have ever experienced. When thé ambulance rolled up a tsunami of rainwater flooded over us. |

Ive NEVER had time to make a pup tent for someone I was administering CPR too...If they were too bloody the ones that didn't want to see it just turned away. But GOOD JOB on resuscitation. You really should take a refresher course, so much has changed in administering CPR from even just a few yrs ago. I recommend everybody know to administer CPR because you just never know! |
