US F-22 stealth jets join South Korea drills amid North Korea sabre-rattling
WASHINGTON - The United States sent F-22 stealth fighter jets to South Korea on Sunday to join military drills aimed at underscoring the U.S. commitment to defend Seoul in the face of an intensifying campaign of threats from North Korea.

The advanced, radar-evading F-22 Raptors were deployed to Osan Air Base, the main U.S. Air Force base in South Korea, from Japan to support ongoing bilateral exercises, the U.S. military command in South Korea said in a statement that urged North Korea to restrain itself.

"(North Korea) will achieve nothing by threats or provocations, which will only further isolate North Korea and undermine international efforts to ensure peace and stability in Northeast Asia," the statement said.

This is definitely getting interesting. It is now NKs move. What will they do? If they just threaten again then I think it is all a bluff.

Well of course they'll respond. "We are now at a heightened 'state' of war with the enemy".

When we send a stealth bomber over there -- we HAVE to tell them, or they would never know about it.

It doesn't do much good to, say 6 months later, tell them... hey, little kim, you know when we were just about to go to war... well we were flying F-22's right over your freakin' house.
Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day.

Yeah, those F-22 jets will last for about 10 minutes in a combat engagement before its pilots pass out from lack of oxygen.

Let the Koreans fight their own war. The old Korean war is such a legacy of the past, of the Cold War. South Korea is fully capable financially, logistically and industrially capable of mounting its own defense.

WHY the heck do we still have 30,000+ U.S. soldiers there and a couple of hundred front-line jet fighters there is simply beyond me. The Cold War is OVER. The Koreas are of no strategic importance to us any more.
