You need to learn to STILL your overactive mind. Learn to live in the NOW and not in past or worry about the future.

Not uncommon. According to Christians, the scary bipolar volcano god's own sacrifice did not appease him, which is a real bummer. We can only guess that he didn't think any of this through very well ;)

No, he just opened the escape hatch through Yeshua.... the judgement is still coming... it's up to each one of us individually if we make an exit for "The Door" of Yeshua!

Ultimately, every knee will bow and every tongue confess Him, right?

You know that "all will be salted with fire", yes? There's no escaping purification, regardless of what "decision" one makes. "Be ye perfect as I am perfect" is no different than the command "let there be light". It's gonna happen whether we like it or not.

That is not surprising. Belief in no God results in murders. Ask the serial killers in prison if they believed in God when they committed those crimes. You will see a pattern.

And what will mockers do when the wrath of God falls suddenly upon them?

When fear grips a man as to take his breath away.

Will he cry out to Him then? Will God listen to the mocker then?

Men should ask themselves where the breath which gives them life comes from. As it does not come from themselves. And where it goes they do not know.

Perhaps a study will be done on such things, OP.

Doubtful though.

The funny thing to note is that the more shit like this that comes out, the more it proves the Bible true. The Book of Revelation said that the good would be considered bad and the bad would be considered good.

Re: Study: Belief in an angry God associated with variety of mental illnesses
God is Holy and dwells in perfect peace. God in His perfection is angry against the evil practioners all the day long and as the Creator and God of all, He warns them of His wrath to come upon them, His anger being as much of His righteosness as all His attributes. He really isn't milk toast when it comes to those that will not acknowledge Him and continually pursue their own paths of righteousness under their own godlike worship influenced by their sinful fallen beastly nature.

I suspect this mental instability had its beginnings in their reasoning first and foremost, flawed and unsound in mind, eventually projecting upon God the twisted understanding they conjured up to answer how this can be, an angry God, angered against the wicked all day long, not realizing that God is perfect in all His attributes, and He does not lash out, but lovingly warns those that would harm a child, take a life in lust, or destroy anything with malice, they will be judged by the Judge of all creation.

And they, the wicked, laugh, and continue on. The mentally unstable fear and loathe a God they do not know, and practice a faith in a God they can't comprehend - because it is a faith they have imagined, not the God of the Bible

belief?

when the shit hits the fan...billions will acknowledge that there is an 'angry God'.

not that I follow 'him'...

but to dismiss the reality that there is a powerful...star trek like super being is pure ignorance.

the 'myth' of zeus is not a myth.

Talk to an invisible man in the sky = Christian.

If you think the bible is real then you would have to come to the conclusion...that god is quite angry. It all sounds like a bad star trek episode if you read the whole book.
